La Baraque a Crepes sur Lezigne

Original crêpes to suit all tastes. The various homemade jellies are incredible! An open and passionate team that takes the time to chat with their customers! We wanted to learn even more about saffron cultivation. The result was a fantastic family meal, highly recommended!

On the motorway heading towards the Vendée beaches for our holiday… the GPS took us off to avoid the traffic jams, and what a great idea that was! Rather than cramming into the crowded rest areas of the A10, a lunch break at this crêperie was the perfect choice. Very close to the main roads but peaceful. The setting is lovely, with a shaded terrace, and the crêpes are delicious. Thank you to Tom and Marie for their warm welcome and kindness.

We left the highway to eat and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the staff were pleasant and smiling! Everything was excellent!!! It's a shame I don't live nearby; I would have loved to come back.

A HUGE surprise! This is far from your average crêperie: it's a true gourmet crêperie. From appetizers to sweet crêpes and savory buckwheat crêpes, everything is creative and incredibly delicious. The flavor combinations are simply divine (goat cheese/Layon hillside jam with saffron; Camembert/black tea jam with a hint of vanilla and saffron; creamed mushrooms paired with a pepper and coconut chutney...). And we made a superb discovery when it came to cider: a woody AOP cider from Cornouaille. FANTASTIC!!! The best part: Tom is a jam maker and grows his own saffron. His jams are real gems, impossible to find anywhere else. We left with our arms full! A stop that's definitely worth the detour, with excellent value for money. Thank you to Tom and Marie for this wonderful experience, as delicious as it was personal. We'll be back on our next trip to the area, that's for sure! See you very soon for your jam orders! I hadn't been back since Tom and Marie reopened the crepe stand... it was a wonderful evening. Our taste buds were in heaven! The crepes were generous and excellent, and the dessert was just as good. And the best part was they sell homemade jellies, jams, etc., as well as the mini cheese crepe with jelly as an appetizer 🤩. Marie and Tom are charming and always smiling. In short, everything is there for a great time at the restaurant. And the bill was very reasonable. All the best, see you soon!
