La Belle Epoque sur Chauvigny

Passing through Chauvigny, we chose this crêperie because it was the first restaurant we came across, and we weren't disappointed! We had a hard time choosing our dishes, as the menu was full of mouthwatering options. We finally ordered a duck breast and a burger with homemade fries and salad, both of which were generous portions and absolutely delicious, along with a small glass of excellent Sauvignon Blanc. The service was impeccable; the waiter was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. The setting is also lovely, right in the heart of the medieval town, surrounded by castles and just a stone's throw from the "Giants of the Sky," which we were able to admire right after our meal.

A crepe and tea break on a Tuesday afternoon. Greeted by the owners' two charming grandchildren (and their grandparents nearby). 5 stars for the crepe "made with love," according to the young boy, their great politeness, and the apparent warmth of their family. A very sweet experience 😊

It's a shame the welcome and service didn't live up to the establishment's prime location in the heart of a medieval city. The service was inefficient (a one-hour wait for two salads and one crêpe) and clearly lacked a smile and friendliness. The owner didn't utter a word during service, and the manager at the till sighed when I arrived without my table number… Luckily, the food was decent! As a business owner myself—and not one to leave negative reviews—I find it hard to understand how customer service and experience can't be a priority for the managers, especially after reading the numerous mixed reviews.

We had dinner on the terrace. The service was very friendly. The savory crepes were generous and delicious. The homemade profiteroles made all the difference!

Good restaurant. Hearty meals, made with good quality local produce.

Peaceful and quiet at the top of the village. We particularly enjoyed the incredible trout steak. We also appreciated the selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. But above all, we admired the service, despite the sweltering heat, which was delivered with great energy, friendliness, and cheerfulness!

Passing through Chauvigny, we received a very warm welcome. The meal/dessert was excellent, and the setting was very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

Friendly atmosphere, good food, beautiful setting whether on the terrace or inside. Super cool banquette seating. Enjoy a great time with friends or family. The owners are very friendly. I recommend this establishment. I will be back.

The setting is magnificent, both outside with the castle ruins and inside the restaurant. The main course was delicious, the dessert less so, and the manager very busy attending to her customers. I still recommend it.
