La Belle Etoile sur Niort

A warm welcome, as always, from Mr. and Mrs. Guignard and their team, including the delightful Maxime. After a homemade non-alcoholic aperitif, concocted by the "Maxiologist"—a must-try for its flavors and originality—we sampled the spring menu once again. The dishes are superbly presented, the tastes and flavors blending in a beautiful, inventive, and perfectly balanced harmony. Starters, main courses, and desserts are creative and delicate, yet understated—just like this wonderful Niort restaurant, which we never tire of. We'll be back soon, and thank you. It's always a true pleasure to share a meal with you. The setting is also magnificent, decorated with taste and refinement. The products are sourced from excellent local producers, using short supply chains. We returned for Mother's Day. The special menu was very tempting, and it was excellent and very complete; see the photo below. The flavors are straightforward, without the fuss and frills that detract from so many culinary creations. Despite a full terrace and a few diners inside, the service was, as always, quick, personalized, and efficient. A wonderful time shared with my mother, thanks to the entire team at La Belle Étoile. Just one minor point about the stifling heat, otherwise everything was perfect: the flavors, the presentation, the attentive but not stuffy service, all at a reasonable price.

We had the lunch menu... Sublime in every way, even though we're used to only the best... We loved it... Excellent service, unpretentious yet expertly performed.
