La Belle Etoile sur Niort

A wonderful discovery at this restaurant. The set menu is €28, the dishes are refined, and the sommelier will be happy to advise you on pairings with alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. All this in a beautiful setting with a lovely shaded terrace. The restaurant also serves as a wine bar in the evenings. I will gladly return!

A very pleasant dinner on the terrace in a lovely setting, served by friendly staff. The aperitif cocktails and the meal were perfect. Vegetarian options are available. We were with two young children for whom I had requested booster seats when making the reservation. Everything was perfectly set up upon our arrival. In addition, the children's menu (chicken nuggets or homemade fish with fries and a homemade Magnum ice cream bar for dessert) was very, very good! We will gladly return. Thank you!

A beautiful dining room and a perfect dinner! We had a wonderful evening! The dishes were delicious, accompanied by a very good wine. The service was also impeccable. I had requested a nicely placed table when I made my reservation, which was exactly what I got! Highly recommended!

A warm welcome, as always, from Mr. and Mrs. Guignard and their team, including the delightful Maxime. After a homemade non-alcoholic aperitif, concocted by the "Maxiologist"—a must-try for its flavors and originality—we sampled the spring menu once again. The dishes are superbly presented, the tastes and flavors blending in a beautiful, inventive, and perfectly balanced harmony. Starters, main courses, and desserts are creative and delicate, yet understated—just like this wonderful Niort restaurant, which we never tire of. We'll be back soon, and thank you. It's always a true pleasure to share a meal with you. The setting is also magnificent, decorated with taste and refinement. The products are sourced from excellent local producers, using short supply chains. We returned for Mother's Day. The special menu was very tempting, and it was excellent and very complete; see the photo below. The flavors are straightforward, without the fuss and frills that detract from so many culinary creations. Despite a full terrace and a few diners inside, the service was, as always, quick, personalized, and efficient. A wonderful time shared with my mother, thanks to the entire team at La Belle Étoile. Thank you very much.

Just one minor point about the stifling heat, otherwise everything was perfect: the flavors, the presentation, the attentive but not stuffy service, all at a reasonable price.

One of the best restaurants in Niort, and it's romantic.

We had the lunch menu... Sublime in every way, even though we're used to only the best... We loved it... Excellent service, unpretentious yet expertly performed.
