Passing for a night in Lyon, we chose the Charlemagne hotel and do not regret our choice. Hotel very well located 10 minutes walk from Perrache train station. The staff is smiling and welcoming, listens to us and cares about our well-being. Small bonus: we were surprised to be upgraded, the room was spacious and with a balcony overlooking the interior terrace. In addition, the breakfast is very complete and varied.
We will come back with pleasure. Thanks to all the staff.

Based on the reviews posted, I was very excited about the idea of spending 3 nights in this hotel.
However, I was a little disappointed.
When we arrived, the toilets were not clean. The television was relatively small. And, the superior room still lacked a small fridge.
Regarding breakfast, I found the choice quite limited with few savory dishes in particular.
Finally, I found it a shame that the elevator for access to the superior rooms did not work.
Otherwise, I have nothing to complain about the setting and the staff. The staff is smiling, welcoming and attentive to our needs. The interior courtyard is very pleasant.

Very nice service, they allowed me to let my bag in a special room and me to stay in the reception after my room time finished. Very nice breakfast and location. Also, room is small but good only to sleep in. I recommend.

A stone's throw from the station, this hotel is first and foremost attractive for its practicality. The rooms are decent. The service is completely adequate, neither more nor less, but always with a smile. The garden and lounge bar are pleasant for a moment of relaxation, without being memorable.
The breakfast buffet, for its part, is generous and served by responsive staff, but it lacks a little freshness and finesse in the products offered. In short, we eat well there, without stars in our eyes, but we won't leave on an empty stomach.
