The food was excellent, tender meat cooked exactly as requested. The service was quick and friendly. However, I deducted one star because: 1) our seats were damaged, as the photo shows. 2) sodas are only available by the glass, drawn from a tap that mixes syrup with sparkling water. These two points disappointed me. Given the establishment, I expected seats in good condition and proper bottled sodas.

We had a wonderful meal at La Boucherie and the service was very pleasant. Thank you to Loabem (I'm not sure if I misspelled his name; I quickly saw his name tag) and his young colleague whose last name I unfortunately didn't catch. They were very attentive and friendly during the evening service on June 29th. Pictured: the small carpaccio as a starter, the Caesar salad, the seared beef, the chocolate sundae, and the polka-dot cabbage.

28/05/2026: My wife and I opted for the 'Piece de Boucher'. We had the chance to try both sauces served alongside it, and both added a wonderful touch to the flavor of the meat. The quality of the meat was excellent, and it was a very filling dish, served with fries and salad. We definitely recommend it!

Restaurant Au Joyeux Pecheur

21/10/2026: A little slice of paradise if you're looking for traditional tarte flambée in Strasbourg. Don't hesitate to finish your meal with a glass of eau-de-vie: they're all excellent.
19/10/2026: It's always a good experience. Fast, friendly service and excellent food. Really top-notch.
