La Bourriche sur Wimereux

A fantastic seafood platter, brilliant!

Superb place! Friendly atmosphere!! Excellent, highly recommended, thank you on this Sunday evening.

We decided to spend the day on the beaches of Pas-de-Calais since we live less than a hundred kilometers away. We went to eat at the restaurant La Bourriche Wimereusienne. We were warmly welcomed. I had a seafood platter and my wife had mussels with fruit, and to finish, she had an ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; the seafood was truly excellent and very fresh. Before eating, we visited the town, and after the meal, we also explored the coastline by car. We had beautiful weather all day, but in the evening, the weather wasn't as nice anymore, with a light wind and the sea was choppy. All in all, we had a pleasant day and have fond memories of the restaurant and our getaway.

Excellent experience. Very pleasant welcome. Excellent value for money. Very good products. We ordered the gratinated oysters, one of the two versions available at the time. Followed by a royal platter, a real treat. And finished with a rum baba. We highly recommend this place.

Order placed for December 24th and honestly, no regrets. The order taking process was excellent, with specific requests from me. These were more than accommodated. The platters were picked up that same evening. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The platters were beautiful and generous. They were delicious and a real hit. I highly recommend them! It was my first time at La Bourriche and certainly not my last. Kudos to them!

Bad experience: The main course was served before we had finished our appetizers, with no side dishes, just seafood and croque monsieur sandwiches. I found this completely disappointing. The croque monsieur was a large, bland piece of bread, the langoustine platter was meager, and the shrimp were mushy. The dessert of the day wasn't fresh; it came from a bakery, and the cheeses weren't local. A shame. In short, a tourist trap… Very disappointed…
