La Brasserie du Chateau sur Rueil-Malmaison

Very pleasant as usual! Everything is delicate and perfect!

A very warm welcome; the waiter was exceptionally kind and friendly. The dishes, whether starters, main courses, or desserts, were generous and beautifully presented. I made a special request for a steak tartare, which was fulfilled beyond my expectations. The terrace is undoubtedly a plus, but I suggest grouping smokers together to avoid the unpleasant smell of tobacco for non-smokers. Don't miss this wonderful restaurant.

Terrible welcome! I had booked online for Mother's Day, specifying my preference for an indoor table. Upon arrival, the waitress informed me that there were no more indoor tables available. I pointed out that my reservation clearly stated this, and she then told me that tables are assigned based on arrival time. I questioned the necessity of making a reservation if the request wasn't being taken into account. At that point, a man (the head waiter or the owner?) arrived, interrupted the conversation, and told me I should have specified that I wanted an indoor table! I replied that I had! In short, no apology was offered, and we ended up on the terrace, where I was stuck in a draft. What a shame; I won't be going back.

It was Mother's Day, so the restaurant was almost full, but the atmosphere was pleasant, and despite its size and the number of people there, it wasn't noisy because, between the different rooms and the terrace, you didn't feel crowded. The welcome was very warm, and all the staff were smiling. However, you shouldn't be in too much of a hurry once you'd ordered your food. For the price, I found the duck leg, for example, a bit small. My partner's octopus had a bit too much sauce for her taste, while my sister's steamed potatoes were bland and watery. The desserts were fine, except for the wait, again. Apparently, when it's busy, the kitchen can't keep up. In short, a warm welcome, friendly staff, and a classic setting, but the bill was a tad too high.

For a double treat 🎂 we had some "inventive" dishes (salmon salad, superb with its little sorbet 🍋) and some classic ones, but with strawberries (you can't get any fresher! Not too sweet but delicious...) which went perfectly with the very hot lunchtime. (Always a renewed pleasure to have lunch or dinner there)

It's always a pleasure to come to this restaurant! The evenings with DJ Stef are fantastic! Great atmosphere, great music! The food is delicious and the ingredients are high quality. The waitstaff are friendly, pleasant, and always available. I highly recommend it! Marie Lô ;-)

Friendly and efficient staff, good and generous portions. Lunch is available on the fairly shaded terrace.
