Arriving by chance at the La Broche du Sud restaurant, we left delighted, delicious liver and fresh fig terrine as a starter, delicious dishes, skewer of sirloin fillet and very tender lamb shank and to finish an excellent homemade baba with pipettes of rum, 30.99 euros per person, who could say better!!!! I recommend 100%

Having foolishly failed to reserve Chartres Saturday dinner en route from Biarritz to Calais, the utterly lovely ladies of la Brochet' du Sud took mercy on us (they are right next to the Cathedral) and found us a table. Their chef stayed open late to replenish us with delicious speciality meat and fish hanging brochettes, a great half bottle of pouilly fume and some mouth watering chef special desserts. All this was enjoyed with a backdrop of stunning Chartres cathedral illuminations, at a very reasonable cost. Thank you to the kind ladies of la Brochet' du Sud. In our view, you are on your way to sainthood.

Very beautiful setting at the foot of the cathedral.
Good welcome
The dishes are nice,
The "chef's" terrine, very good.
Prawns with fennel and hot chorizo. Interesting.
The skewers... funny, good, the quantities are sufficient
The friendly service although a little long, the skewers cool quickly.
Desserts are well served.
In any case I recommend.

So to begin with, a sick view of the cathedral! Top service, the dishes are delicious and the semi-cooked chocolate is too much of a treat (but super mioum-mioum). The service at the top, I highly recommend for an experience in Chartres and a visit to the cathedral to digest!

Un restaurant qui ne paye pas de mine, mais une excellente cuisine très inventive, des produits frais et de saison. Une présentation très originale pour les différentes brochettes proposées. Une ambiance très sympathique, un service très souriant et très attentif. Pensez à réserver.
