La Buvette sur Alet-Les-Bains

Fabulous, uncomplicated food. Lovely setting and surroundings. Expert, attentive, friendly service. Just be wary that they have changed their name.

We went to this restaurant last night and it was a wonderful discovery. First of all, the village of Alet-les-Bains is definitely worth a visit, but we've known that for many years thanks to swimming in the spring-fed pool and in the Aude River. Not to mention canoeing between Couiza and Alet. But yesterday, for my partner's birthday, we booked a table in this very pretty, bucolic setting. A lovely garden where the tables are set up around a central brazier where the food is prepared. And this brazier cooking was excellent. We had salmon and lamb, which were accompanied by succulent seasonal vegetables, also cooked on the brazier, and it was simply perfect. The portions were just right; you don't finish the meal feeling hungry or full. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The desserts were fantastic. The tarte tatin and the panna cotta were incredible. In short, it was truly perfect for a very reasonable price. I recommend it without any hesitation...

A refreshing stop in the heart of the village, surrounded by greenery, water, and shade – nothing better in this heatwave! A limited lunch menu, grilled dishes in the evening. My only regret: I couldn't find the homemade ice cream they served last year – it was delicious!

The place is really lovely, clean, and very well maintained… A truly pleasant surprise… As for the food, they could definitely do better with the €20 seafood burger: the fries are bland, and the salad dressing needs improvement… Some good new potatoes and a decent vinaigrette would have been welcome!

Family dinner and it was fantastic. Best restaurant in the Aude.

Absolutely nothing to complain about, a magnificent setting, delicious food cooked over an open fire, all with impeccable service. We were a table of 14 and the restaurant was a hit with everyone. Thank you again for this wonderful discovery.

La Buvette was a great find during our stay in Alet Les Bains. The charm of the atmosphere, the outdoor cooking and friendly service created an unforgettable experience for our family. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared and served happily along with local Blanquette and Rose’ in the beautiful stone walled garden. Highly recommend.

A superb place, a true green oasis. We had a wonderful time.
