La Cambuse du Saunier sur Gruissan

The setting was lovely. A beautiful view of the salt marshes and a nicely shaded terrace. However, during a rather quiet period (late September), the service was rushed. Orders were taken almost as soon as we arrived. I ordered a seafood platter, which arrived less than two minutes after ordering, before our aperitifs, and therefore well before the other courses at our table. A bit disappointing. We still have fond memories, but we wouldn't necessarily recommend it; it's too "touristy" for our taste.

Exceptional! We were so lucky: we came on a windless evening and were able to enjoy sublime colors, all accompanied by delicious seafood. 🦐✨

An absolutely magnificent place, a must-see when visiting Gruissan! Le Salin offers an exceptional setting, with breathtaking landscapes, incredible colors, and a truly unique atmosphere. A place where nature, authenticity, and beauty converge. A true invitation to discovery and wonder. A little corner of paradise that I highly recommend! ❤️

Great atmosphere, good regional wines to accompany excellent cuisine. Very friendly service at a moderate price. All in all, a delight.

A Gruissan institution The salt worker's shop offers regional specialties in a truly exceptional setting. Special mention for the sea bass and duck breast baked in a salt crust.

The setting was wonderful, the platter with crab and sea bass rillettes was excellent. The light, chilled rosé wine was the perfect complement. We had a very pleasant time.

A wonderful discovery! The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and kind. I initially stopped by the shop for a drink… but I ended up staying for dinner, thanks to the team's kindness! 😄 I had a duck confit, which was delicious, and especially an absolutely extraordinary tiramisu 🤤 A real treat! I also really appreciated the rustic decor, which gives the place a real soul, with a simple and warm atmosphere. And a huge thumbs up for the way dogs are treated 🐶❤️ They are truly treated like royalty! I hadn't even sat down yet when a bowl of water was already brought to my pet. 🥰 Thank you for your warm welcome and kindness. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I will definitely be back!

The first time we went there was just four years ago, and we enjoyed it and ate very well! Now, in September 2026, we went back during our week-long vacation. One evening during the week, we ordered fish (sea bass), and our husbands ordered a seafood platter with mussels, razor clams, and large prawns. The fish was practically cold, as was the side dish. On the seafood platter, the mussels and razor clams weren't flavorful enough! Our mashed potatoes tasted like they'd been reheated! They made it clear at the end that it was time to leave! There were no finger bowls. In short, we were very disappointed this time, not to mention that we found the price of the platter extremely expensive for what was on it! We won't be going back for our next vacation! What a shame…
