Delicious pizzas and desserts, friendly service, great place!

Friendly, attentive service. Fresh, homemade Italian with lovely vegetables. Great, relaxed atmosphere after a long day of sightseeing.

It has been almost three days since my La Cantina experience, and I, frankly, cannot get that delicious pizza out of my mind! I stayed at an Airbnb across from this bustling restaurant for six days and saw many, MANY happy diners noshing on what looked to me like perfectly wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pizza. Every day, I promised myself I would enjoy one of my own before leaving lovely Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. On my last day, as I awaited a taxi to Avignon, I finally sat down to a lunch of Margherita pizza and an Aperol spritz. Both were exceptional — better than I could have imagined! The bartender mixed the spritz to my exact specifications, which I very much appreciated — light on the Aperol, heavy on the Prosecco. So refreshing! The pizza exceeded every expectation and was truly divine. The tomato sauce was bright, flavorful and juicy, but not at all overwhelming. You could taste the purity of the ingredients — crushed fresh tomatoes with just a few spices to give it balance. The crust was a marvel: ever-so-slightly salty, pillowy and beautifully blistered around the edges, with just the right amount of chewy snap. A masterclass in pizza crust! Finally, both the server and La Cantina's proprietor were warm, friendly and accommodating. I felt well looked after, as if they genuinely cared that I was enjoying myself. My only regret is that I didn't somehow ensure I had one of those pizzas on each of the five previous days. I will definitely make that adjustment the next time I'm in town! Buon appetito!

We had dinner at La Cantina during our vacation. We had a truly wonderful time; the service was excellent, and the waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pizza, and I loved my pasta all'arrabbiata. In short, we highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

What a find! The best pizza I've ever had. It's the fresh French tomatoes in the sauce. Wanted to go back, but closed on Sundays. Best to get a reservation. Highly recommended.
