As a Russian, I can say that La Cantine Russe was a truly wonderful surprise! I had pirozhki, borscht, and shuba—everything was authentic and delicious, just like home. The flavors are spot on, and the ingredients are high quality. I highly recommend this place! 🫰🏻

Fantastic food, atmosphere, and service. It is located right outside the stunning Eiffel Tower. The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the restaurant offers a true taste of Russia. We visited with a Russian friend who confirmed the cuisine is completely authentic. As an American, I felt right at home with how they served us, and the owner even sent us off with a friendly round of vodka. To top it off, the karaoke singers were fantastic (and beautiful!).

Had a fantastic evening at this restaurant! I highly recommend the chicken shashlik. The owner is an excellent pianist and knows how to make his customers feel welcome (legendary karaoke) 😻

23/01/2026: As a regular customer of this shop, I'm disappointed by today's poor rating, due to employees who preferred to chat amongst themselves about trivial matters instead of helping customers. Furthermore, the checkout process was rushed, as if she were just going back to her conversation. There was no goodbye. I left the shop with an unsealed bag of chocolates and kouignettes bearing the small Larnicol label. Did she think I planned to eat them all on the way home? I'll never know. That said, from now on, I'll make a detour and stop at the St. Michel shop; they're much more welcoming there.
15/01/2026: I went to buy kouignettes knowing what to expect. The shop was tidy, but: Two saleswomen were busy with their tasks, and there were no other customers in the shop. I had a baby in a carrier and a backpack. No help was offered to me. It was 10:20 am on a weekday. I was quite surprised because the staff in Concarneau and Quimper are very friendly. This has a negative impact on the brand's image... PS: Clean tongs and used tongs are a good thing... but there still need to be clean tongs available.
