La Caravelle sur Pavilly

First lunch at this well-regarded café-brasserie; I know this place and have stopped by for coffee from time to time. With the chef absent, the owner offered a simple set menu: a grilled steak with fries and ratatouille – simple but good, just like homemade. The staff was friendly and efficient, with little waiting between courses. We'll wait for the chef's return to try the full menu.

A very welcoming place, the people were very friendly, and the staff were very kind; we chatted with them for quite a while. They even gave us peanuts with our beer.
