Really attentive staff. Chef was able to accommodate one person in our family with a dietary restriction. The food was quite delicious, but oversalted. The joli bout de cochon in particular was so salty that my gums and palate felt weird until the next day, and I slept much hotter than usual (but it was delicious). This is not a complaint, but I think the restaurant should let new customers know that most of their main dishes (nos plats canailles) are just a piece of meat and no accompaniments. If we had known about the composition of the plates, we would have ordered more salads and shared, more like tapas. But the prices would be too excessive for tapas: 22€ for volaille de bresse for just one poultry leg, not even half a chicken, was asking for too much. The dishes that come with a sauce are a bit more balanced, but still no vegetables or starches, just meat and sauce.

A wonderful discovery! The atmosphere is typical of a traditional Lyonnais bistro, with tasteful decor, walls covered in a patchwork of paintings, signs, posters, advertising panels, agricultural awards, and more... very welcoming. Friendly service and a warm welcome. A truly delicious experience! It's recommended to come hungry because the menu and dishes are generous! Don't be afraid to mop up the sauce! Having tasted the eggs meurette (a perfectly executed sauce, not at all sour, clearly made with a good wine!), the beef with morel sauce (smooth and fragrant), and the gnaffron with St. Marcellin cheese on my neighbor's plate, I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! They're incredibly generous when you order the rum baba: a giant bottle is brought to your table with an equally giant pipette, and you pour yourself the desired amount! Reservations are always recommended as it's very popular, thanks to word-of-mouth! And it's well deserved!

We had the pleasure of a romantic dinner at the restaurant "Les Bons Enfants" in Bourg-en-Bresse, and it was an absolutely memorable experience from beginning to end. If you're looking for an authentic restaurant in the Ain region, look no further, this is the place to go! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the lovely terrace. Nicely shaded and inviting, it offers the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you immediately sense that it's a favorite with both locals and passersby. The service was extraordinary, largely thanks to our waitress, a true gem! She was always running around, making sure everyone was happy, always with a smile. She jokingly referred to herself as "clumsy," but in reality, she was exceptionally professional and kind. Charming from start to finish, she made this moment even more special with her infectious good humor. As for the food, it was absolutely flawless. The promise of "homemade" was brilliantly fulfilled. The savory dishes were flavorful and generous, but it was the desserts that truly transported us. Intensely fresh and delicate, they brought the meal to an unforgettable close. You could taste the passion and expertise in every bite. As luck would have it, we were seated next to a very friendly Dutch couple, which added a delightful touch of conversation and conviviality to our lunch. 01/07/2026: Walking by, you might think it's closed… However, I highly recommend taking a chance and pushing open the door! 🚪 Inside, you'll receive a warm welcome from the owner, who takes the time to chat and connect with his customers. As for the food, you'll discover a superb menu of Greek specialties. I'm warning you: as soon as you read it, you'll be itching to come back and try everything—they all look so delicious! 🇬🇷 The portions are generous and excellent, bursting with flavor and prepared with fresh ingredients. The prices are very reasonable, and with a choice of three different set menus, you're sure to find something you love! 🍽️ Highly recommended! 😁
