17/09/2026: We were lucky enough to book at the last minute. Unfortunately, we were seated in the middle, which was a bit of a shame since there were several seats available behind us. We chose the four-course tasting menu. The portions were quite small, even though the flavors were original and sometimes surprising. Since it's a surprise menu, you should expect to encounter some ingredients or combinations that you might not particularly like. Overall, the experience was interesting, but we would recommend choosing the six-course tasting menu to better appreciate the different options and have a more satisfying portion size.

13/09/2026: We had the privilege of dining at Scratch Restaurant last Friday evening with my sweetheart, and it's a visit we'll cherish for a long time. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with remarkable warmth and professionalism, but it was truly the attentive presence of Alexandre, our server, that transformed this meal into a truly unforgettable gastronomic experience. Alexandre possesses an impressive knowledge of every dish on the menu. He didn't simply list the options, but took the time to explain the culinary techniques, the premium ingredients used, and above all, the philosophy behind each of the chef's creations. It's rare to encounter such a passionate and knowledgeable professional who can truly guide his guests. What particularly struck us was his expertise in food and wine pairings. Alexandre suggested wine selections that perfectly complemented each dish, explaining the aromas, the terroirs, and why these wines enhanced our palates. His recommendations were relevant and very well-reasoned—it was clear he truly knew his stuff. Throughout the meal, Alexandre struck the perfect balance between discretion and attentiveness. He was always there when we needed him, without being intrusive. He anticipated our requests with thoughtful care, pouring our drinks at the perfect moment, clearing our plates smoothly, and regularly checking that everything was to our satisfaction. The service was impeccable – prompt, courteous, and genuinely kind. Alexandre created such a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere that time seemed to fly by. At the end of the meal, we found ourselves wondering where the hours had gone! The quality of the food matched the service. Each dish was a culinary work of art, flavorful and beautifully presented. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the textures harmonious, and the chef's meticulous work and passion were evident in every bite. This restaurant more than deserves its excellent reputation. It's a place where gastronomy and outstanding service go hand in hand. We will definitely be back, and we will warmly recommend Scratch Restaurant to all our friends and family who appreciate good food and truly excellent service. If you're looking for an authentic restaurant in the Ain region, look no further, this is the place to go! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the lovely terrace. Nicely shaded and inviting, it offers the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you immediately sense that it's a favorite with both locals and passersby. The service was extraordinary, largely thanks to our waitress, a true gem! She was always running around, making sure everyone was happy, always with a smile. She jokingly referred to herself as "clumsy," but in reality, she was exceptionally professional and kind. Charming from start to finish, she made this moment even more special with her infectious good humor. As for the food, it was absolutely flawless. The promise of "homemade" was brilliantly fulfilled. The savory dishes were flavorful and generous, but it was the desserts that truly transported us. Intensely fresh and delicate, they brought the meal to an unforgettable close. You could taste the passion and expertise in every bite. As luck would have it, we were seated next to a very friendly Dutch couple, which added a delightful touch of conversation and conviviality to our lunch. 11/09/2026: It's so delicious! The food takes a little while to come out, but...! The fried items are super hot and crispy, making up for it. The Mala Xiang Guo is salty, so it goes really well with the scallion pancakes, and it makes you want to drink a ton of beer.

11/09/2026: I went there 10 years ago, so I assume the owner must have changed, right? The name was exactly the same, so I went hoping for something better, but as expected, I was very disappointed. The Guobaorou was great because it was super crispy, but it was a shame that there wasn't enough sauce.
