Friendly staff and a good place; try the rose macaron—it's amazing

Wasn’t expecting much from a restaurant inside a railway station, but this place was a genuine gem. Great pastries paired with really good coffee — a perfect combo if you’re catching a train or just passing through. Staff were well-mannered and attentive. The Mille-feuille was a standout — absolutely loved it and would go back just for that. Macroons too need a shoutout. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the station and need a quick, quality bite.

Pierre Hermé macarons I found at Lyon Station, where I stopped by on my way to Barcelona! Although the macarons are famous, I saw reviews saying the mille-feuille was delicious too, so I ordered them as well. I should have eaten them right away on the train, but I ate them too late and they melted quite a bit, but the taste was truly heavenly. You absolutely must try the mille-feuille. However, it is extremely sweet, so it might not suit the taste of those who don't like overly sweet things. But seriously, it was so delicious!

A great place to have an espresso and macarons while waiting for your train. The staff are very attentive and friendly.

7:30 a.m., we arrive at Gare de Lyon, groggy and exhausted. Everyone's still half asleep; some even forget to get off the train. I go to grab a coffee at Pierre Hermé. For a decent cup of coffee at Gare de Lyon, it's the only option. And there, one or two saleswomen, all smiles and incredibly kind—it puts a smile on your face to start the day!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pierre Hermé's chocolate praline mango cake is a true triumph. The combination of intense chocolate, rich praline, and fresh, slightly tangy mango is perfectly balanced. The texture is soft and melts in your mouth, with refined flavors from beginning to end. An original, elegant, and utterly delicious dessert that I wholeheartedly recommend.

There's a wide selection of macarons to suit all tastes, as well as chocolates and other sweets, all beautifully packaged. It's the perfect place to take home a last-minute souvenir. Pierre Hermé's macarons are truly delicious, with flavors as varied as they are flavorful.
