35 minutes before ordering... 1 hour 10 minutes for the first course... that says it all about the service. Excellent creamy chocolate dessert.

What a treat! What a pleasure! What a journey! August 2026 • Couples August 2026 "La Cave passe à Table" And not just the wine cellar! This is our fourth time eating at this restaurant, and there's no doubt about it, the customers who have raved about this restaurant in the center of Saintes were right, as it ranks 3rd out of over a hundred: you'll enjoy it from beginning to end, and you'll feel right at home wherever you are because the place is both cozy and welcoming. If you haven't had the chance to taste the Chef's gazpacho, you've missed out... We would have gladly bathed in it twice, it was so fragrant... Not too cold... Not lukewarm... just perfect to delight our taste buds. A real treat: I don't remember ever enjoying gazpacho so much. But as his wife said, "I can't figure out how he makes it, so your compliments aren't going to make him reveal HIS recipe." And his tomato tapenade just before: YUM! And the fish dishes of all kinds we were treated to: delights with incredibly fragrant, unexpected sauces! Truly. This extraordinary chef does his shopping very early every morning and improvises his two daily menus based on the fresh produce he's acquired. Try it, you'll see! As for the price, it's no more unreasonable than its ranking: €34 for the tapenade and its delicious bread, drinks, starter, main course, and dessert, which will also awaken your palate and take you back to a host of forgotten, delicious memories…

An excellent restaurant that I wholeheartedly recommend! We had a fantastic time from start to finish. The dishes are simply amazing: flavorful, generous portions, beautifully presented, and made with truly excellent ingredients. We savored every single plate! And a special mention to Agnès, the owner, who is lovely, always smiling, warm, and incredibly attentive. It really makes a difference, and you can tell she loves having her customers over. Excellent food + top-notch service = a place to absolutely remember. 👌🔥 We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely family meal here, the sea bass was incredible and everyone who had the set meal with the lamb throughly enjoyed it. Great, creative flavours. Highly recommended!

A restaurant opening onto a pedestrian street where you immediately feel at home. Excellent cuisine showcasing seasonal produce. A wonderful discovery.
