La Chaumiere sur Volvic

The Brittany - Auvergne marriage works pretty well! The pancakes are very good and the service pleasant, and this view is magnificent.

The savory pancakes were good although I would have appreciated more filling in the pancakes to benefit from a dish more suited to my desires. For the sweet crepes, we took the apricot crepe of the moment, it lacked caramel for my taste and the apricots were slightly dry… About the room, the service was very good. The toilets could do with cleaning as there were large cobwebs. From the outdoor terrace, the view of Volvic and the small massifs is unmissable. A delicious pancake and a pancake just the way we like them. A friendly and warm place, with very friendly servers. I highly recommend!

To remain objective, we should rename the inn to the creperie la chaumière. The name doesn't match the cuisine. The pancakes/crêpes are good but they remain simple pancakes/crêpes: compared to certain creperies that have crossed my path, the inn does not generate the desire to come back. The viewpoint overlooks the city with a beautiful factory below. The castle is hidden by trees. To conclude, we can stop there, we will eat properly (cakes/crepes) with the view of the volcanoes, if the weather is nice.

Instead of an inn, it's more of a creperie. Friendly welcome, and lovely view. The crepes are good but not exceptional either. Nothing original in short.

Quiet terrace with superb view, simple cuisine: good creperie; careful to book in summer, only problem the 50cl pitcher of rose at 18 euros, the waitress not very experienced but who is doing her best cannot say what wine it is, in addition no card with the price, surprise upon payment, otherwise for meals the price of pancakes is reasonable
