La Confiance sur Le Mont-Saint-Michel

We stopped by this place at Mont Saint-Michel in February, and it was such a cozy, delicious meal. My sister actually recommended it to me, and it's where I tried mussels for the very first time! The rustic stone interior with a big roaring fireplace made it the best spot to warm up on a cold day, and the staff were genuinely welcoming from the start. We went with the set menu (formule), which lets you choose between cheese or dessert. The main dish of mussels came in a creamy, savory sauce served with fresh bread. For our choices, one of us went with the light salad paired with local cheeses, while the other got the rich chocolate mousse topped with crunchy tuiles. The high quality and comforting atmosphere made it an unforgettable first visit. It's easily one of my favorite spots in the area now, and I'll definitely be back whenever I want a reliable, great meal!

Apart from the menu, they have many menu options depending on your appetite, the type of food you want and the money you want to spend. So I recommend this restaurant among the great tourist offer in Mont Saint Michel. The waitresses were very helpful and the chef came out to greet the customers with a unique friendliness.

For a restaurant in such a touristy area, what a great surprise! Admittedly, you need to be there at 6:30 pm to get a table if you haven't booked, but the food is excellent and the service is very pleasant!

Reservations are impossible during peak season. We arrived before the lunchtime rush. A very good place. Quick and efficient service despite the restaurant being packed. The dishes are good and generous. Attentive and professional staff.

Sorry, I really wrote the wrong restaurant. I meant LA Mere Poulard. I'm so sorry, I wish them booming business. --- This is a rip-off, a tourist trap, completely not worth it. Visiting on July 9th, we waited a long time for water, and had to get our own plates. The restaurant was almost empty, but we received absolutely no service. We ordered a 45 euro omelet, which the menu said could be shared by two, but when it came time to pay, it was 45 x 2! All dishes are only served once, so why multiply by 2? When we asked what would happen if three people shared the same dish, they said we'd have to multiply by 3. What kind of logic is that!?

The food was "nothing special." The staff was unfriendly.

We received a very warm welcome from the service team. However, some of the menu items were frozen, which was quite disappointing (e.g., bread and quiche). The service was rather slow. Overall, the place is clean and the staff are welcoming, but the value for money compared to what we received on our plates was poor.
