A truly delightful spot in the heart of historic Rouen. The welcome was fantastic, the staff incredibly friendly, the menu pays homage to Rouen's most famous landmarks, the galettes and crêpes were wonderfully generous, and the bill was more than reasonable! A well-deserved 5 stars.

Fantastic location right by the little stream in one of the most beautiful streets in the old town! The crêpes are delicious, highly recommended!

Wonderful culinary experience! The gluten-free crackers were excellent, and the sweet cider was also worth trying! The girl who served us was incredibly kind. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

06/09/2026: We decided to try this culinary experience for our first wedding anniversary and we were delighted. The dishes were beautifully presented and excellent: truly high-quality cuisine. We thank the chef and her team for this enjoyable experience, and also the waitstaff for their explanations and advice throughout the meal. A wonderful place! 😊

Cafe Le Metropole

14/08/2026: Wow. For me one of the special elements to visiting France is cafe life. Pavement coffees. The versatility of the French Cafe, where coffee expands into beer, food, good wine and culture. In Rouen there is no better cafe that the gorgeous art deco Metropole. Atmospheric, lovely coffee & food and a wonderful people watching spot as locals and tourists alike come & go from the close by station. The Croque Monsieur is superb. If you are in town this is a must sit and experience.
10/07/2026: Very good, we stopped there with work colleagues before taking our TGV to Marseille, the staff are smiling and helpful and always in a good mood.
