La Corsoise sur Marseille

Good welcome, good value for money! Great discovery for lunch when you want to change sandwich shops in the neighborhood!

Dined here with colleagues from Marseille a couple of times during a visit there and was not disappointed. The restaurant is slightly off the "tourist trail", so was full of locals and business people dining out for lunch. The menu was different each time, and the waiters gave hearty recommendations on what they thought were the best dishes on the day. The food was wholesome and tasty, without the pretentiousness of a lot of the other restaurants in the area, but was excellent. I'm not a dessert person either, but the the Café Gourmand on each occasion was to die for, absolutely delicious and I would revisit La Corsoise for this alone!!! Highly recommended.

The bocconcini is really delicious and plentiful just right, neither too much nor not enough. Small downside for the tiramisu, a little heavy and too sweet, I will just stick to the dish next time and why not try their charcuterie plate. It is not an exclusively Corsican restaurant, however, they offer dishes such as tagine or duck leg confit. The place is nice but can be a little tight. Good restaurant overall.

Busy at lunch with only locals. Corsican food - had pork cheeks and sausage with lentils. Starters containing cold sardines and nice hot terrine. Amazing food. Great service.
