The campsite has a pleasant setting, but my experience was mixed. The maintenance staff, employed by the Loudéac Community of Municipalities, were unwelcoming and sometimes unpleasant, which is regrettable.
The pétanque court is also in a deplorable state: it looks more like a potato field than a playing area and is in dire need of repair.
Fortunately, the owners of the crêperie more than make up for it. They are very welcoming, warm, and friendly. Their professionalism and kindness contribute to making the stay more enjoyable.
Honestly, so much noise!
We experienced everything at the campsite: water problems, going from 10 am to 4 pm without water.
On Wednesday, someone came to mow the lawn during our afternoon nap at 2:30 pm.
On Thursday, they put their string trimmer back on at 8:12 am, haha!
We could hear the people from the crêperie.
On Friday, the noise from the mowing continued.
On Saturday, a miracle: we could hear some noise, but it was coming from the path.
And on Sunday, a guy was using a chainsaw until 12:25 pm. Rest is not an option here... It's a shame to pay so much and be bothered like this. Otherwise, the crêperies are very good. The area is pleasant. The hiking is excellent. The pond is great. The noise is a shame.
We arrived in a motorhome (over 7m long) and the only access is via narrow country roads.
The pros: Nice little campsite with fairly large pitches (all on grass). A few trees, clean sanitary facilities, well-placed electrical hookups, and water on every pitch. There's a crêperie and a bar on site.
The cons: The campsite isn't secure (a footpath runs along the back bordering the campsite and leading to the lake, where there's a lot of foot traffic until quite late in the evening). No cell service: we arrived as a couple, using two different mobile providers, and neither of us had a signal. The crêperie was closed the evening of our arrival and the following day... What a shame!
