It's the perfect place to spend a pleasant time with family or friends. The staff is welcoming, the decor is lovely, and the food is excellent. You won't be disappointed by this brasserie.

Dining at la Brasserie at Domaine du Moulin Cavier in Avrillé was a great experience for my husband and myself. I have several food sensitivities and the Chef altered and substituted foods in the dishes to avoid all of them, whilst offering a delicious and most enjoyable meal. I had the Egg Parfait, which was a fabulous mix of fresh, zingy flavours. Then the Agneau cuit longtemps. Chef did pommes-de -terre écrasé in place off the légumes tagine. Our lovely Waitresses were clever at suggesting these changes and took a real interest in us. They were also friendly and patient.

A little disappointed by the value for money: nothing to accompany our five aperitifs, one of which was barely chilled (a sparkling wine), and the carafe of wine wasn't iced (it was 28 degrees that day) – we had to ask for it. Otherwise, the main courses were decent but nothing special. I think they need to pay a little more attention to their customers.

26/06/2026: Beautiful castle in a lovely setting.
01/06/2026: Fantastic team, fantastic venue, we had a wonderful meal. There were 30 of us in the beautifully decorated restaurant. The service for the aperitifs in the courtyard was truly excellent. We were able to reserve the small lounge adjoining the dining room for a little dancing after our meal. Well done to all the teams, it was fantastic. They were very accommodating to all our requests, which was truly appreciated. Bravo again!
