Our experience was very mixed.
Positive:
- Comfortable bedding and a lovely view
- The staff was very pleasant
- The wine was very good (perfectly paired)
- The view was beautiful, especially at sunset
- Very quiet
Negative:
- For a seven-course dinner, we expected fresh bread, but it was dry.
- The service was very slow; two and a half hours to eat is far too slow, especially since it wasn't really seven courses. The amuse-bouches aren't supposed to count as a course (we're used to Michelin-starred restaurants), and the rest of the meal should have been served quickly.
- The room was shabby: peeling paint, noisy shower (when all they needed was a new faucet), and a bandage was used to repair the hairdryer...
- There was a room with lots of board games, which was great! Except that the games are incomplete; we tested about ten of them, and there's always something missing...

A haven of serenity (and delicious food) overlooking the mountains!
An absolutely perfect stay at this aptly named establishment. From the moment you arrive, you're struck by the tranquility and the breathtaking view of the valley, but it's the welcome that truly makes the difference: warm, professional, and genuine.
Spa: A pure moment of relaxation. The facilities are impeccable, and the view from the relaxation areas is simply magical. It's the ideal remedy after a day on the trails (or slopes!). I'll just mention the absence of a jacuzzi. There's a hammam, sauna, massage shower, and hanging chairs with a tea area. But no jacuzzi.
Dining: Special mention for the restaurant! You can feel the genuine attention to local products, which are enhanced with finesse. It's top-notch, both for the palate and the service.
The hotel's eco-responsible commitment (the first bioclimatic hotel in the region, if I'm not mistaken!) allows you to enjoy luxury guilt-free.
In short, whether it's the attentive staff or the quality of the services, La Croix de Savoie is a rare find in Les Carroz. You come for the view, you stay for the experience. Thank you for this timeless moment!

Overall, a pleasant stay.
A very warm welcome, friendly and professional staff.
The only downside was the restricted hours.
Check-out was a bit early for my liking, and the spa's opening and closing times were limited, as one should only be able to use a paid service at the same time.
In our case, we weren't able to use the spa, which was a real shame. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.

Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and nice spa.
However probably not worth the price per room, location not great without car, and 30€ breakfast per person on top seemed a stretch. Do not recommend to provide feedback verbally, as feedback is taken as a personal affront by staff.

Clean, pleasant, quiet, and family-friendly.
Smiling and pleasant staff.
The downside: expensive for what it is. The spa is an extra charge, and the restaurants are rather pricey. A bus stop is available right outside the hotel; otherwise, it's a 15-20 minute walk.

We had a genuinely lovely stay at Hôtel La Croix de Savoie & SPA. The hotel is comfortable, spotless, and has a rare homely atmosphere. It’s a multi-generation family business, where we were treated like family. The food is local and very tasty, and the team (including family members across generations) went out of their way to make our entire family feel welcome, even offering alternatives when a dish wasn’t a hit with kids. It’s a special place, and we’d happily return.
One opportunity for improvement: the booking flow and disclosures are hard to understand, especially with regards to family room options. We booked family rooms with half board through the website, and only learned the day before arrival that half board applied only to adults and children are added separately. The team was kind and explained the rationale (some families prefer flexibility, like kids eating separately). That makes sense, but it isn’t standard or obvious at booking time, and the late clarification led to a significantly bigger bill than we expected (+20% per day).
Related: we were also told that an “extra bed” could have been charged depending on the kids ages, but that this wasn’t clearly communicated either. Again, the intent seems good, but the booking information could be much more user-friendly and explicit.
Finally, for families with picky eaters like ours: the kids half-board may feel expensive relative to what young children actually eat on a ski holiday. For reference what we paid for a day of half-board is more than 3x the price of the kids menu lunch on the slopes. The hotel food is definitely higher quality and healthier though.
Overall: outstanding hospitality and a wonderful atmosphere, just double-check and confirm what exactly is included so there are no surprises.

I visited this hotel with my wife and our 4-year-old daughter, Carla, and I can only say THANK YOU to the entire Le Croix de Savoi family. It's an incredible and beautiful place to spend a few days and unwind. But without a doubt, the people who work there made our stay amazing. We will be back. Greetings from Spain
