LA DRAKKAR sur Hourtin

A very good restaurant located opposite the port of Hourtin, very pleasant. The food is delicious, I highly recommend it!! (Perhaps they could use chef's hats or hairnets in the kitchen...😉)

We had a very good, generous meal, and the welcome and service were perfect. I recommend it.

We ordered two set menus: a regional menu for €39.90 and a Viking ship menu for €29.90. The prices are excessive for what we were served. The service was pleasant and quick despite the crowd.

Unfortunately, there was a power outage on July 14th, 2026. We had a reservation at 7:30 PM, just in time for the power to come back on. The young staff did what they could, but instead of gathering them together, the owner shouted that they had to wait for the hotplates to heat up and that the customers would have to wait. Instead of gathering her team and telling them discreetly, the meal lasted three and a half hours. There were only two menus out of four, the match wasn't divided into sections in the restaurant, and a downside was the lack of a fan zone at the town hall. It's not very supportive for a semi-final; just a bar showing it outside, but we only saw it in the second half. Disappointed with my evening, I don't recommend going there.

What can I say… not great. While the welcome was impeccable and we were seated very quickly, the service was slow. It took about 30 minutes after ordering to get a simple mussels and fries, which thankfully were tasty. In short, three phone calls were made because they forgot the bread, the glass of white wine arrived late during the meal, and the clearing of the table for dessert, despite multiple staff visits, was at a standstill. I've had better experiences in less expensive restaurants. We'll see if we try it again to form a second opinion.

Nice little restaurant on the port of Hourtin, warm welcome and excellent service. A minor complaint about the mussels marinière: they were too watery with the white wine. But the Nutella crepes were very good. Thank you for a pleasant meal.

A lovely little moment. Seated facing the harbor, enjoying a beautiful sunset. Very happy with my visit to this restaurant. The chicken curry was incredibly tender, the servers were very responsive, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I'll be back!
