An annual (or even biannual) stopover, this is our favorite inn...our go-to meal is tagine or couscous... The owner welcomes us with a smile, her eldest son lends a hand in the kitchen...and lunch unfolds in perfect serenity. A much-needed break on the banks of the Loire...do as we did, take a seat and let yourself be tempted! Take your time...Those who shout to grab a quick bite...move along! Here, we take our time and chat! Thank you to this delightful family for hosting us!
The food was good but nothing special.
The service was very slow even though there weren't many people there; we even had to go and get our desserts because the waitress was talking about her retirement with a customer and told us she'd forgotten about us.
We visited here when staying at a nearby hotel on a cycling trip through the Loire Valley. We arrived late on a bank holiday (very glad they were open, not much else was for miles). We were greeted warmly and they were happy to cook us fresh delicious food - just what we needed after a long day on the saddle. They also had some great local wine, we couldn't resist having a second glass!
