It said homemade fries, but my husband and I had our doubts; otherwise, the service was great.

We went there for the first time for a wedding anniversary, and it was a very good experience. The welcome was very warm, the service excellent, and, to top it all off, we ate very well. We will definitely return, and we will remember it fondly since it was to celebrate our wedding anniversary this year. Best of luck to the team at this restaurant; if you are ever in Chambéry, go there, you won't regret it.

In June 1970, this was our restaurant where we ate the day we took our middle school diploma exams. It brought us luck because everyone passed. 56 years ago, the price of the set menu was, if my memory serves me right, between 4 and 5 francs!

For years I've heard about the golden fries, but they're not all that great. On the other hand, the service is excellent and the staff is pleasant. A bit pricey for what you get.

Following a friend's recommendation, we went to this restaurant and enjoyed an excellent pierrade (hot stone grill) accompanied by a delicious little walnut salad, homemade sauces (which the waiter confirmed were homemade), and of course, unlimited fries 😋. The warm welcome, the atmosphere, and the quality of the food will definitely bring us back on our next trip to Chambéry.

We hadn't even sat down when we were asked if we wanted an aperitif, so we stood up and ordered. We asked for a little time to take our order. The service was fairly decent, and the waitress was friendly. However, the dish... the menu called it a casserole of diots (sausages) in red wine and onions. I looked for the onions and the red wine sauce. The diots were swimming in a layer of fat... I pointed this out, and the response was, "Diots are fatty by nature." I grew up eating diots, so I know how to prepare them, and certainly not swimming in their own fat (oil...). The fries were okay, but we were never offered more. When it came time to pay, it was impossible to get an itemized bill (a mix-up with another table, according to the waiter). In short, it's a far cry from the golden fries of Mr. Richard, which is a shame because it used to be a Chambéry institution. One thing is for sure: I won't be back.

I came about a year ago, and the staff was terrible. I came this weekend, and there's a new team, super friendly and attentive, and the food is fantastic. The andouillette gratin is simply amazing. I'll definitely be back.
