First time at La Folie Douce I was expecting something festive with mediocre food and unpleasant service, but in the end it was really great in every way (I recommend the beef ribs 🤩)

Magnificent "La Fruitière" in Alpe d'Huez. We organized a lunch for 35 people during a 3-day seminar. Superb "Folie Douce" atmosphere 🔥🔥 The team was incredibly efficient and welcoming! A HUGE THANK YOU! We'll definitely be back! 👏👏

A must visit one afternoon if you are skiing in Alpe D’Huez. Food is nice, service was very good too, atmosphere was brilliant !!

It's a bit pricey, but the atmosphere makes it worthwhile. The service is good; the second time I went, they gave me a free beer (after I'd ordered a few, but it was a nice touch). The food is surprisingly delicious at the à la carte restaurant... I ordered the pork ribs, and they were excellent.

Very pleasant and impeccable service. Mediocre lunchtime show. Average cuisine: well presented, but many dishes were out of stock, the crayfish heads were poorly presented and stale, the bread wasn't fresh...) Aside from the service, a huge difference compared to the fruit shop in Val d'Isère.

13/07/2026: Best restaurant on the slopes in Alpe d'Huez! A team that goes the extra mile, quality cuisine, and incredibly fast service. Special mention for the exceptional view overlooking the resort!
14/04/2026: Ideally located at the intersection of a red and a green run, making it accessible to everyone, with a large terrace and plenty of sun loungers to enjoy the incredible view 🤩 The service was super friendly. The blueberry tart was really delicious and beautifully presented.

24/07/2026: Beautiful and good restaurant. Very charming. The food was good and refined. The service was good.
31/03/2026: Fantastic food and lovely staff, owner was lovely and engaging. Definitely somewhere for a special meal for your holiday . I’d suggest booking before you travel to ensure a table . Sittings are at 7 and 9ish I think .
