La Galette du Moulin sur Paris

Very reasonable price and an unusual location

Beautiful spot for an evening drink and a game of chess.

The owner is incredibly friendly :) you can easily strike up a conversation. It's the perfect place to have a drink and play cards in the evening.

I had no idea places like this existed in the touristy parts of Paris. Delicious galettes (I had one with tomatoes), lovely people running the place, chessboards to play, and an eclectic collection of books to read and swap if you feel like adopting. The decor - you just need to see it yourself. Strongly encouraged, I am definitely coming back on my next visit.

Discovered whilst walking around Monmate, quiet little spot off the busy streets, we had a crepe and and an omelet for lunch, with a bottle of wine, very nice!

A fun, alternative experience, not too touristy. Good value for money. Friendly people. Games! Some say the tables aren't covered. Well, if you come here expecting a proper café experience, you'd be better off going somewhere else. It's an alternative spot. You can tell right away. Go somewhere else if you want a waiter to move your chair.

A very cute outdoor terrace on a quiet street, perfect for two people and away from the crowds. Chess available for everyone. The draft beer is very good, and the sweet crepes are generous and delicious too. I think the reviews are harsh; it's a lovely old place that deserves to survive despite the Disneyfication of Montmartre! Thank you to this little gem! 🩷
