La Galettière sur Soissons

15/09/2024: With reservations at 800pm, we enjoyed a very nice dinner at this restaurant in Soissons on a Saturday evening. We were seated promptly upon arrival but it took at least 10 minutes before our order for drinks were taken and menus distributed; however, we were pleasantly surprised that our orders were served much sooner than expected. Overall, we were quite pleased with each of our food orders which we found to be tasty, perfectly cooked, and quite filling. The Tagliatelles a la carbonara and the Tagliatelles au Saumon were quite tasty with the noodles perfectly cooked al dente. The Reine Pizza was also quite tasty and delicious as was the Reine Pizza and the Onglet de veau, crème de butternut aux cepes. Although we started out with a few concerns, we ended up quite pleased with our orders and the service provided. Plenty of close by street parking available. We'll be back.

14/09/2024: Rather nice menu which is a change from the ordinary and the price of the menus is rather reasonable. Beautiful presentation on the plates, quite copious (for me!) and the decoration is very pretty. On the other hand, I expected better in terms of products. The service is very good, the staff are lovely!
