Restaurant located on the banks of the Adour. Typical Basque setting, very beautiful. Top notch service. They come to explain to you the content of the dish presented. When the dishes are served, it is quite simply haute cuisine. Very fine and very good with quality dishes. Only the price can be a barrier, but considering the contents of the plate, it is justified. In short, an excellent address.

We lived in the French Pyrenees and found this restaurant very close to the highway, with hardly any detours. A great success. Elaborate, rich and surprising dishes. The place with historical charm. A French Basque mansion from before. We will return if we have the chance. Thank you.

20/03/2024: While passing through Urt, we decided to have a bite to eat during our cycling expedition. We would have liked to have the menu of the day, but apparently, you have to show your credentials, have a reservation, and wear work overalls to have this privilege! Betrayed by our look as cyclists, we therefore fell back on the menu, constrained and forced by this gastronomic class struggle! It's crazy, even for a menu, we have to fight like workers on strike! Too bad the restaurant went into discrimination mode, as if our outfit was an attack on culinary haute couture.
15/01/2024: Coucou, c'est nous les cyclistes ! Très déçus par le cochon de lait qui, d'ordinaire, est moelleux et croustillant. On a mangé du filet mignon sec comme du filet de cochon et pas de sauce. Et vraiment léger comme ration, d'autant plus que l'accompagnement, frites ou légumes, n'était pas très copieux non plus 😏, au regard du prix, bien entendu L'axoa est bon, limite en quantité aussi Je croyais que les Basques étaient de gros mangeurs... Point positif : nous avons pédalé léger sur le chemin de retour
