Fantastic food and great service. We had a delicious salad and a slightly different steak tartare with sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts. I highly recommend a visit.

Do not go if:
You are accompanied by a disabled or elderly person, as the toilets are upstairs, up a difficult staircase!
I was very disappointed because I had informed them that we were there to celebrate someone's 94th birthday, and there was absolutely no consideration for them!
Just a simple "sorry" at the checkout!

First of all, a big thank you to the charming waitress, so smiling and attentive.
As for the food, I ate very well, and there were good combinations of flavors and textures in each dish, even if the seasoning didn't always live up to the menu's promises. (The citrus sauce had very little citrus flavor, and the tataki was a bit too salty.) I had already been to La Gargouille in 2024, but on the street-side terrace. I had a pleasant memory of it. What a magnificent setting, in a semi-open old barn. I really enjoyed it. I hope to return sometime, who knows?

First visit after the renovations, still lovely, especially the back courtyard. The menu is off the beaten path; the tuna tataki as a starter (a touch of sweet soy sauce would have softened the dish a bit), the beef tartare was generous and delicious, and finally, the frosted lemon dessert was excellent—hard to describe, you have to taste it for yourself.
For drinks, the wines by the glass were the "Gargouille" Châteaumeillant rosé and Valencais red.
In short, don't hesitate to try the experience! And I almost forgot, a big thank you and congratulations to the entire service and kitchen team.
