Bruno and Tamara go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. And they do so in a gloriously furnished house, in a perfect setting. We stayed in the Canton suite, named for its lavish antique Chinese furnishings; even the bathroom faucets are shaped like bamboo fountains! The Venetian suite is also lovely, but my favorite is the light-filled African suite, which features fabrics and artifacts from the owners’ time spent in Africa. Delicious breakfasts and other meals are taken on a terrace in good weather, behind which the sun sets, providing a glorious end to the day. Alternatively, you can enjoy the sunset from the well manicured garden and infinity pool. If you’re looking for a magical location for your French holiday, you couldn’t choose a better place than La Gourguille.

Hosts Tamara and Bruno provided a first class experience. Dinner with them was a highlight.

We came to Barjac to visit the Keifer Foundation and were not expecting anything spectacular beyond that. But we were lucky to land at Bruno and Tamara's place for two days. It was one of the most pleasurable places we've experienced to stay. Both Bruno and Tarmara are not only lovely people but very gracious hosts as well. The room we had was so comfortable and spacious that spending time there relaxing and reading was a treat. The entire place is so tastefully appointed that it was hard to leave. And the food! Oh, the food was so delicious. Bruno is such an inspired chef. He even made us a memorable picnic lunch one day that we will never forget. This is a place not to miss. We can hardly wait to come back.

La Gorguille exceeds all expectations that one could have for such a place, and much more. When we undertake such an experience, we often fear unpleasant surprises, but with Tamara and Bruno, the surprises are only positive. Each of the three suites, furnished with meticulousness and particular attention, displays a refined decoration and is structured around varied themes. We had the pleasure of staying in the Chinese suite. As soon as we cross the threshold, we are transported to another dimension where our imagination soars. The spacious suite is wisely divided into three distinct areas: the bedroom, the living room and a bathroom which is a real pearl. This is not to mention the quality bedding, linen and all the little touches which are simply exquisite. The residence, splendid in its entirety, is decorated with an enchanting garden, a beautiful swimming pool, and welcoming terraces. Our hosts deserve immense gratitude for their exceptional work; they offered us many suggestions for places to visit and responded to all our requests. The breakfast is impeccable. They also provide electric bikes, making our explorations of the surrounding area all the more pleasant. Seduced by so much charm and a warm welcome, we even decided to extend our stay. A visit is essential!
