The fish was excellent. However, I find it unhygienic to place small jars of homemade harissa on every table. It might be better to ask customers if they would like some and add it directly to their plate.

Great little restaurant on the Old Port! We loved everything! The couscous was amazing, incredibly generous, and for the price, it was unbeatable! The meat was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were tender and perfectly cooked, the jus was exceptional, and the harissa sauce was a real treat; a true culinary delight. The atmosphere was great too, with a very diverse clientele. It's a super cosmopolitan place; you really feel at home in Marseille here :)

Très bon couscous, un des meilleur de la ville servi dans une ambiance poliment familiale. Le lieu est apprécié, vaut mieux réserver un peut avant d'arriver (quoi que la plupart de temps suffit d'attendre 5–10 minutes...). Attention, carte crédit 💳 pas acceptée.

26/01/2026: The best couscous in Marseille? It's true that the barley couscous is original, excellent, and easier to digest. The meat on the skewer was very tough, and the lamb was just a lot of unappealing fat. The waitress was quite unfriendly, while the owner was much more welcoming. The decor is exotic and well done. In short, a mixed experience; the value for money isn't great.
22/01/2026: Absolutely delicious. A little effort on the prices would be welcome.

21/11/2025: I love Tanite in Marseille! You can enjoy delicious, soft, warm "Sfenj" from 10 am with mint tea, at a very reasonable price. The oriental pastries, like macroudes, are excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, opening onto the market square; every visit offers a glimpse into the neighborhood... and the service is truly friendly. Perfect for a quick stop after the market, or just for a break...
05/10/2025: The lady is incredibly kind. Very family-friendly salon. Delicious and filling oriental pastries.
