21/03/2026: It had been a little over a year since we'd last eaten at Sofra. Last night, we were craving couscous, so we booked a table. To our great surprise, the atmosphere was still just as wonderful. Carine was as pleasant as ever, always smiling and funny. She recognized us right away. And the couscous? What can I say? It was as delicious and satisfying as ever, a real treat! The chef hasn't lost his touch! I highly recommend this restaurant for its ambiance and the traditional Tunisian cuisine, which is a true delight for the taste buds!

16/03/2026: I ordered couscous for two and picked it up on Saturday for Sunday! It was delicious: the chicken was excellent, the meatballs were great, and my stuffing was very flavorful and the semolina was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the service was excellent. I'd gladly order again.

The highlight was without a doubt the owner (or rather, the lady at the cash register): I've never experienced such incredible warmth in my life. You immediately feel welcome and like a valued guest among friends. The atmosphere in the restaurant is simply wonderful and invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. And most importantly: the food was fantastic! Everything was incredibly delicious and tasted absolutely authentic – you can tell that the food is cooked with passion. A heartfelt recommendation for everyone in Nice!

A warm welcome, attentive service, and flavorful Tunisian cuisine. Special mention goes to the lamb shoulder: slow-cooked and perfectly executed, meltingly tender, perfectly seasoned, and served with light semolina and beautifully simmered vegetables. A harmonious, authentic, and particularly delicious combination. The portions are generous, the flavors genuine, and you can taste the care taken with every detail. We left delighted—I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

13/03/2026: A very warm welcome with fast, friendly, and family-run service. I highly recommend eating here. If you're looking for good couscous, this is the place. Traditional and high-quality couscous. The atmosphere is truly wonderful.

08/03/2026: VEGANS and VEGETARIANS BEWARE ! There are NO vegetarian couscous. The stock is made from meat and vegetables and used in all the couscous dishes. That's what the chap said. In fairness, nothing is marked in the menu as vegetarian/vegan, hence why we asked. The chap seemed amused by us being vegetarians. He and his colleague (the one wearing glasses) made insulting remarks and smirked as we went out. I don't mind people eating meat, it's their choice. I don't like being humiliated because of my choice of diet. This is the reason why I'm giving the lowest rating. TripAdvisor doesn't seem to classify this place as vegetarian. But a Google search of veggie places will list it. This will irk the owner, a lot, but I shouldn't be made fun of.
