La Grangée sur Alluy

Simply fantastic. Flawless from start to finish, with surprising ingredients for us city dwellers (nettles, flowers, wild asparagus, to name just a few). Delicious and authentic local produce. All available gluten-free. Hats off! A true discovery in this small village nestled in the Nièvre countryside. A very warm welcome. Not to mention an excellent wine recommendation. Update 08.2026: We returned to the restaurant: The quality remains top-notch, and the creativity, both in the kitchen and the service, is as strong as ever. The current menu impressed us greatly. It's always a unique experience. The snails in the "Dampfnudel" (steamed dumplings) and, for me, on a bed of buckwheat, were a true explosion of flavors. The ingredients and aromatic herbs from the restaurant's garden enhance these refined creations. Thank you for this delightful experience in Alluy.

Excellent meal. The dishes were as delicious as they were beautiful and delicate. Fabulous. The service was impeccable, and we had a wonderful time. My only real regret, but a significant one in my opinion, is that the menu is only accessible via QR code. I find it truly unfortunate that a restaurant offering this level of quality and attention to detail doesn't provide a beautiful physical menu, in keeping with the overall experience. To be perfectly honest, I even considered leaving before ordering, as I find this system so off-putting. I find the QR code impersonal, cheap, vulgar, and disrespectful to the customer, in stark contrast to the refinement and delicacy of everything else. This is truly the only negative point, and a deal-breaker for me. I would gladly return if a printed menu were available.

The setting is warm and elegant, with a serene atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The welcome is impeccable, and the service is perfectly pitched: attentive, precise, always smiling, without ever being intrusive. The cuisine is exquisitely refined. I particularly appreciated the use of herbs, flowers, and vegetables from the kitchen garden, which lend a great deal of freshness and character to the dishes. Local produce is showcased intelligently, enhanced with contemporary touches that never overpower the ingredients. The Morvan trout confit with herbs was incredibly delicate and perfectly balanced. As for the veal loin, it was simply exceptional: impeccably cooked, remarkably tender, and with a very elegant marjoram-infused jus. The light and airy desserts conclude the meal with the same precision. The wine list is particularly well-curated, with a carefully selected range of wines and very reasonable prices for this level of cuisine. This restaurant fully deserves its Michelin star. The cuisine is sincere and inspired, demonstrating a deep respect for the ingredients and the seasons. We recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
