La Grillade sur Castres

This Friday we were passing through Castres. There weren't many restaurant options, so we stumbled upon this one by chance, and we highly recommend it. The meat was excellent, the vegetables delicious, and the wine pairing was spot on. The young and very professional team made sure everything ran smoothly. Honestly, well done! Happy New Year 2026

Vegetarians beware! They only serve high-quality, even exceptional, meat. The side vegetables are very good, and the charcuterie is excellent. It's a shame they wouldn't change my ice cream flavor for dessert!

Very good We had the meat platter, which was good, except for the lamb chops, which were not great.

Duo menu €50: the server came back 5 minutes after ordering to tell us that it was a menu for two but at €50 per person (so €100 for 2). Supposedly 1.2 kg of beef: so yes, it was plentiful, but I doubt there was that much because we finished it all. Afterwards, there's no complaints about the quality, but I'm still disappointed by the quantity compared to the price: €35 per person is what it was worth to me. And unfortunately, we were on the terrace with a table that was leaning, so I asked for paper towels to prevent the juices from the board from dripping onto my clothes. So I won't go again because it's too expensive.

Meal with friends. Magnificent charcuterie boards! And tender and flavorful beef ribs. The chef even offered a round of rum. I recommend it!

Stopover in Castres on July 31, 2025. We had dinner there with our three children on the terrace in the heart of the narrow streets of Castres... Wonderful! Beef tataki, melt-in-your-mouth ribeye steak, a children's menu with honey-lemon chicken and homemade fries, and... breathtaking homemade desserts! The Snickers reimagined with chocolate mousse and homemade peanut ice cream... truly explosive! A real favorite! As for the service, a young woman and a young man were absolutely LOVELY!! We're going back tomorrow evening.
