Lots to like here, but food can be mixed ......the location and setting are charming, rustic and pleasant seated under the shade of several large old mulberry trees, the courtyard with chickens begging for scraps is amusing and entertaining. A wood fired grill suggests well flavoured food and for the most part it is. Lamb chops are a solid hit but the entrecote steak like so many places if a hit and miss affair - on this visit the meat was tough enough to lose a tooth in, grissely and mostly wasted. France needs to wake up to properly aged meat that doesn't require a jack hammer to get through!
A pleasant enough lunch but choose wisely!
Toujours un plaisir que de se retrouver ici. Accueil, qualité, cadre, une belle escale. Et toujours les deux poulettes. Au fait, c'est quand qu'on les mange, Gudule et Dugule?
