The chef came to greet us in the dining room and was incredibly friendly, approachable, and passionate. It's lovely to feel such genuine warmth and a genuine desire to please. Impeccable service, a pleasant atmosphere… A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend!

Hello, I'm not usually one to comment or post about places. BUT THIS TIME... I have to give my opinion. We set off on a road trip with my son, and each day was different, with the goal of finding somewhere to eat and stay each evening. We were traveling from the Jura Mountains to the French Riviera, crossing mountain passes. Arriving at the Col de la Bonnette (an absolutely must-see!), it was around 6:30 pm, and we had to start looking for accommodation. After several rejections on various websites, I stumbled upon the Auberge du Gruppio in a village called Illse. And there... a huge surprise awaited my son and me. A MAGNIFICENT place!!! Located in a beautiful medieval village. I can only encourage you to stop there if you're in the area. I recommend it 200%!
And I'm not even mentioning the amazing food from a chef who clearly enjoys sharing his cuisine and is incredibly kind! Thank you again for this unforgettable stay. Here are a few photos of the place.
