An excellent restaurant in the center of Arles with a perfectly executed menu! The icing on the cake: delicious desserts, prepared by Marc Veyrat's former pastry chef and served by experienced and very pleasant staff. Thank you for this superb experience!

Met chef David outside while looking at the menu — his enthusiasm about the dishes sold me instantly. So glad it did! The food was excellent, the service warm and attentive without being snooty, and the value is outstanding. Small menu, but everything is a winner. Highly recommend.

A huge thank you to David and the entire team at La Gueule du Loup for this delightful culinary experience. It was a treat from aperitif to dessert. The 12-hour leg of lamb was incredible: meltingly tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The wines we tasted were sublime, and we continued with a firework display of flavors with the cheese course, finishing with an explosion of indulgence with the chocolate fondant, which was simply divine. Thank you again to everyone; we highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Laetitia and Joffrey.

There were four of us, and we hadn't booked in advance. Despite the crowd, we received a warm welcome from the chef who, from his open kitchen overlooking the downstairs dining room, surrounded by his team, gave instructions so the waiter could find us a table. Regarding the restaurant: a striking contrast between a simple, warm, stone interior and the hallmarks of a fine dining establishment (the chef's and cooks' attire, the presentation of the dishes from appetizers to desserts, the table setting); a contrast that works perfectly. We dined upstairs. Despite the full dining room, the conversations of other diners didn't interfere with our ability to hear each other's voices. We noted the presence of a window and air conditioning, undoubtedly welcome on summer evenings. As for the food, no complaints whatsoever. For the pleasure of the eyes, a possible foretaste of the gustatory delights to come, we noticed the delicate presentation of each dish, without being minimalist or overdone. And indeed, for each of the chosen dishes and desserts, the same observation holds true: simple flavors, reminiscent of Proust's madeleine, tastes already encountered, yet bearing traces of originality in both flavor and aroma (undoubtedly the fruit of the chef's research and inventiveness). These elements invite us to take a step back from our memories and explore places somewhat removed from the conventional, all presented with delicacy. As for the service, it was a pleasure to be accompanied during the meal by a duo who ticked all the boxes for what one expects from excellent service: attentiveness, efficiency, expertise... all delivered with a warm and genuine simplicity. At the end of the meal, the chef (who took over the restaurant a month ago) approached some of the tables to ask for their feedback with great simplicity. This experience at this restaurant was marked by elegance: nothing ostentatious, yet undeniably delightful (a feast for the eyes and the palate), and finally, by the genuine hospitality that is so true to life. Bravo.

A wonderful, unexpected discovery. Exquisite, locally sourced cuisine in a warm and unpretentious setting. A great team working in the open kitchen and a wine list that is both varied and reasonably priced! We will definitely return to this little gastronomic gem in the heart of Arles.

12/04/2026: The food was fantastic. We ordered the daily special, a steak with a unique sauce containing mushrooms and wood ear fungus. Special praise goes to their kids' meal; it was very thoughtful, featuring a special combination of meat, fries, and ice cream. The server even gave the kids lollipops afterwards – the service was warm and attentive.
