La Guinguette sur Montflours

A bit hot that day, but otherwise nice.

Extraordinary. Everything is perfect. The warm welcome, the friendly and attentive staff. The delicious, unique cuisine, beautifully presented, and generous without being excessive. Truly gourmet. ❤️ The breathtaking view of the river and its two locks, not to mention the impressively high road bridge. All this at a super attractive price.

We came for a drink at the guinguette in Montflours, on the banks of the Mayenne River, around 8 pm, right in the middle of service. The welcome and service were satisfactory. However, as the main terrace was reserved for the restaurant, we were asked to sit on the terrace below. This terrace is furnished with tables and benches typical of a village hall and sits at the foot of a pile of loose wood, a cement mixer, and several damaged tables. Unfortunately, the whole place gives the impression of being neglected, which is rather unpleasant when you're just there for a drink, even though we are customers too. It's all the more regrettable because this lower terrace would be perfectly suited to a more cozy and pleasant layout for those who come for a drink. With a little furniture and some improvements, it could really become a very inviting space, especially given its setting on the banks of the Mayenne. A mixed experience then: satisfactory welcome and service, but a space dedicated to "drinks" customers which clearly deserves to be more carefully designed and enhanced.

Passing through by on my bike, this was a great stop for lunch. The beer was good and the food was well-prepared (even the vegetarian options, which is rare!). Thank you for your hospitality.

The place itself is magical. Personally, I really enjoyed it. They offer a selection of organic products, which is a great thing. The only downside was the reservation service, which cancelled a table for 16 people twice...

A pleasant moment for dinner along the Mayenne, in a well-managed riverside restaurant run by a young seasonal couple: welcoming, pleasant atmosphere, good quality food.

A great find during our stopover on the Vélo Francette. High-quality cuisine, beautifully presented dishes. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The setting on the banks of the Mayenne River is very relaxing. I highly recommend this place! 😎🚴

The staff were very welcoming, and the place is beautiful and pleasant. It must be even better with a live band, creating a lovely atmosphere to accompany a good meal. The cheese and charcuterie boards are quite good.

Remember to book ahead as there were no more seats available, but there were picnic tables in a field where we enjoyed tapas and homemade fries. Yum, we even had seconds! Thank you for the warm welcome and helpful advice.

I loved everything from the welcome to the coffee at the end; even paying the bill, which was very reasonable, was a pleasure. I highly recommend it, and thank you! My taste buds have rediscovered the joy of eating out. FINALLY... and everyone was fantastic and so pleasant. Bravo! 👍👏
