La Guinguette des Amoureux sur Saint-Mathieu-De-Treviers

Lunch in September. The view of the lake is very pretty. Music a little loud at first, but quickly changed without even asking. Service a bit slow. It's expensive (you pay for the place). €30 per piece of beef can be included in the framework (and 400g). But when we do not display and especially do not specify when ordering that the accompaniments (eggplant, salads, etc.) are extra (€9 more per dish), the final bill is very expensive and ultimately unjustified. It is therefore quite limited in terms of commercial honesty

When I discovered the tavern last season, I fell in love with it! Coming back this summer during our vacation in the southeast was therefore an obvious choice to introduce my boyfriend to this charming place. But the crush unfortunately did not repeat itself. Aside from the young man in the parking lot and the one who served us our drinks, the welcome and service by these ladies was deplorable. However, I come into contact with the restaurant industry in my work and I know to what extent we cannot be at our best every day. I also know that the season is coming to an end and customers can sometimes be so unfriendly. We remain human, that goes without saying, but still, leaving for other tables before we have even finished our order, not getting a single smile from arrival to departure, average. Special mention to the waitress who, when we asked her "what is your current sweet treat please?", briefly replied: "Joy." Well, we are not asking you to be a sommelier, but simply to be at least informed about your wine list, to at least tell us that this is a Côte de Gascogne. The year of the bottle, possibly as a bonus, in short the basic information which allows us, O poor tourists, to be able to make an informed choice. If I had been asked how our lunch went when it was time to pay, I would have happily spoken with the young woman to understand but she only asked me if I was paying by card. As customers, we are also humans who have booked (and paid) to experience a gourmet and warm moment. We will return to that level. Probably a bad day for the team, because according to other reviews, some were luckier than us. As for the food, nothing to complain about, excellent. Well, for what little there was to eat. The quality is there but the quantity is seriously lacking. During my previous visit, I struggled to finish my plate. In short, the setting is magnificent, that's for sure. Finally, if you have booked in time to have a place on the edge of the terrace and therefore the view that goes with it. The food is excellent, if you're not too hungry. And the team is top notch if you happen upon the right day. I therefore do not advise you to go there because everyone must form their own opinion but mine remains more than mixed and I will no longer speak about it to those around me. Happy end of the season to the whole team.

Honestly, I knew this place this summer! And I can tell you that I really fell in love with this place. The lake is magnificent, sometimes turquoise in color depending on the sunshine. The tavern is really nice! The food is good, and the products are fresh. All this is accompanied by a good musical atmosphere with attentive service. You have the possibility of accessing the guinguette beach, which offers mattresses and parasols, etc. But you also have the possibility of relaxing by the lake as you wish with your own equipment. A good tip to reserve.

The place is magical, the restaurant very well decorated and the whole thing is very nice, however the dinner was not up to par and that's a shame!!! The friendly service, especially the very smiling young man

Au vu des critiques on a hesité à venir, mais au final c est plutôt pas mal du tout. Le cadre est formidable, la cuisine est bonne et élaborée avec soin,et les produits frais. Le service est pleine de bonnes intentions, rapide et prévenant . Niveau tarif on est plus sur la paillotte que sur la guinguette, mais bon c est le prix pour passer un agréable moment dans un cadre sympathique.

De passage pour déjeuner sans réservation, nous avons été bien reçus, parking payant par personne remboursé si vous consommez au bar restaurant, qui propose cocktails, cuisine attrayante et savoureuse bien présentée raffinée, et service sympathique. Vue sur le petit lac de Ceceles où vous pouvez profiter de la plage, et de la baignade en famille ou en amoureux. Endroit idyllique pour se retrouver entre amis, en famille ou en couple pour partager un bon moment. Service efficace et rapide, avec des prix abordables selon vos envies. Attention restaurant saisonnier ouvert pendant 4 ou 5 mois de l’année estivale. Nous reviendrons situé dans les gorges de l’Herault et les alentours magnifiques à voir , vignes, forêts, sites de kayak et baignades. La commune pourrait aider à refaire le chemin d’accès, ce ne serait pas un luxe. ⚠️

I only experienced the bar. It's not super organized. There is a lot of waiting. The only thing that's nice about it is otherwise it's overrated.

Pleasant setting thanks to the lake and the decoration. On the other hand, you are clearly paying too much for this framework. The prices are excessive for the portions and quality, that’s one thing. But what's more, we were served cold with an extravagant waiting time (2h30 for starter and main course, we had to leave before dessert). It’s a shame because the waitresses were nice and one of the waiters was adorable. But there is a management problem, higher up. I think it's great for a drink, but not for eating there in the evening. Finally, we have to talk about parking. The parking lot which, to access it, ripped a hole in my underbody. Remember to roll very gently, from the start you can rub. I hope the prices justify imminent work... PS: Also bring mosquito repellent and don’t be too afraid of wasps.

We spent a wonderful evening at this riverside restaurant. The setting is simply idyllic, with breathtaking views of the water and the surrounding nature. The atmosphere is both warm and soothing, ideal for a dinner as a couple or with family. The cuisine is exceptional: tasty dishes, prepared with fresh, local produce, and beautifully presented. The service is attentive and discreet, adding extra charm to the experience. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a memorable meal surrounded by nature. We will come back without hesitation
