La Guinguette Du Lac sur Besse-Sur-Issole

19/08/2026: I enjoy this place and come about twice a year when I'm in the area, drawn by the setting and the quality of the village-style dining. This time, however, I was disappointed: the local beer was out of stock (replaced by Heineken), and several dishes and cocktails on the menu were unavailable. The gin-cured salmon starter was drowned in an unconvincing dill foam and a vinaigrette that looked industrially produced. The braised beef was flavorful but served a little cold in places. Only the dessert, an excellent verbena flan, saved the meal. I expected more finesse and consistency, especially considering the prices.

15/08/2026: A place, a magnificent terrace under a huge vine, we ate very, very well, excellent meats, fabulous sauce, dessert crepe susette prepared in front of you, fabulous...I recommend it.
