It's magical... I have to explain. By pure chance, while looking for a place to eat with friends, as we do every month, I stumbled upon this establishment. I called to reserve a table for eight, with multiple allergies, on the terrace. Laurent, the owner, called me back to explain how we would proceed: - He would send me the menu the day I made the reservation, - we would choose our dishes, - I would send him a text message with everyone's order, taking our allergies into account. We exchanged messages to make sure everyone was happy. Laurent is attentive, kind, patient, and above all, goes out of his way for his customers. So we chose our menus and sampled: - Bistro-style egg mayonnaise - Pan con tomate (bread with tomato) - Mussels in chorizo ​​cream sauce For our main courses, we ordered: - Duck confit with porcini mushroom sauce - Stuffed pepper with salt cod brandade and prawn jus - Grilled octopus with aioli - Hand-cut beef tartare And for dessert, we chose: - Orange French toast cake - Homemade Swiss chestnut cake. We then sent our order. On the day, we followed our GPS to get there; La Guinguette is well-known to Google Maps, which will guide you there without any problems. We parked in the small parking lot provided by the establishment. There, we followed the paved slope, then the stairs under the trees, so don't go in heels, seriously, wear flats. And there you arrive at a secret spot... you're greeted by Laurent. We were lucky enough to enjoy the terrace, which was quite cool in the heat. So we ordered our aperitif. Laurent gave us time to relax and enjoy it. The meal began, and we took our time savoring each dish, which turned out to be very good. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared. Honestly, I recommend this open-air café because you'll have a wonderful time. It was an excellent discovery. We'll go back to introduce this open-air café to all our friends because Laurent deserves to be talked about. His establishment already has a great reputation. This monkey bar is like another planet; we're transported to another time. It's fantastic, surprising. And the cherry on top? The food is divine. (The French toast cake...to die for!) Laurent, the owner, with his down-to-earth philosophy, is just like his restaurant: unique, kind, and above all, a very good cook. Go there quickly, but book in advance!
