I had a wonderful time at La Java Bleue. The meal was excellent: homemade with quality local produce. The welcome was very pleasant! I highly recommend it.

On September 3rd, we went to lunch at La Java Bleu right after our civil wedding ceremony at the town hall. I was especially excited to introduce my mother and cousin, who had come from the United States for our wedding, to this restaurant. So there were four of us: my husband, my mother, my cousin, and me. Having not finished my burger and fries, the waiter kindly packed up the rest for me to take away. While we were still sitting at the table, my cousin and I noticed a fly inside the container, flying around the food and landing directly on my burger and fries. I pointed it out to my husband, who gave the container to the waiter. He simply threw it in the trash. It was mainly the way the situation was handled that disappointed me. I expected more than just having my meal thrown away: offering to replace the burger, preparing something to take away, or at least making a small gesture of goodwill would have been appreciated. Instead, I was left without the food I had paid for, with no replacement or compensation. It's a real shame, especially for a lunch that was supposed to be a lovely occasion after our civil wedding on September 3rd, and when I was looking forward to introducing the restaurant to my family visiting from the United States.

As very loyal customers, we like to alternate between the "Java Bleue" restaurant and their second restaurant, "Madame," which is owned by the same people and located in the same neighborhood, for various reasons. Consequently, we are very regular patrons. It's thanks in particular to the wonderful waitresses at Madame that we continue to visit La Java Bleue, as we appreciate their concept of being open all day, 7 days a week, even on Sundays. The cuisine is quite different, but equally welcoming. We prefer the two lunch menus, which offer good value for money: the express menu at €19.90 or the Java menu at €24.90, which includes a starter, main course, and dessert (and a gourmet coffee is included with the latter). I also appreciated that the express menu has reinstated its very enjoyable starter, which had been temporarily removed. The menu revolves around traditional dishes such as salads, various meats, and burgers named after Brel, Edith Piaf, Brassens… P.S.: Let's not forget the Java team, always pleasant, smiling, and attentive, ensuring you have a great time. The only thing I could suggest is rewarding loyal customers; that would be the icing on the cake. Aside from that, don't change a thing, keep serving with such enthusiasm. We tried La Java Bleue after being very loyal customers of the other restaurant, "Madame," owned by the same people. It was thanks to one of the waitresses from Madame that we went to try La Java Bleue and their concept of being open all day, 7 days a week, even on Sundays. The cuisine is quite different from Madame, but still very welcoming, as it's bistronomic, mainly featuring burgers, but there are other options for meat lovers. The price is a bit high for a burger, especially if you also order a dessert (around €7.50) and a drink, but you have to admit the quality of the locally sourced and delicious ingredients is excellent. Plus, you can order unlimited homemade fries. The atmosphere is lovely; it feels like being in Paris during the time of Jacques Brel and Edith Piaf. And don't forget the very friendly and attentive staff.
