La kasbah sur Toulouse

Nous avons essayé ce restaurant proche de Saint Sernin un samedi midi. La salle est claire et agréable. Leur spécialité est la cuisine algérienne : coucous et tajine principalement. Nous avons opté pour le « Couscous Kashba » à 20€. Déjà, je suis extrêmement friand des semoules qui accompagnent le couscous, c’est pour moi révélateur de leur qualité. Hélas, la semoule, très fine, n’avait aucune saveur. A coté le bouillon était assez plat, donc rien pour la relever. La brochette d’agneau était dure à couper et sous la dent, la merguez beaucoup trop cuite. Les boulettes rattrapaient un peu l’impression générale fort maussade. Pour le service : Attente de demi-heure alors que la salle était moyennement pleine et que nous étions les premiers…

A very very good address in Toulouse to come and share a meal with friends. We've been coming here several times and each time it's very, very good!! The team is adorable, you will definitely have a great time. Hot recommendations!! Especially for the Algiers plate!

Such a great mom and pop restaurant ! Be aware the restaurant is inside a little courtyard then up a flight of stairs, it wasn’t too difficult to find though as it is well marked. We were in a hurry to get to the airport so we didn’t have appetizers, though I plan on it next time. My husband and I order the Couscous Kasbah which was copious and delicious! It came with grilled lamb, grilled lamb skewers, exquisitely seasoned meatballs, and a merguez sausage. There were perfumed raisins in a sweet sauce served on the side. We were able to finish the meat, half the couscous and half of the veggies, though the waiter was kind and let us know if we needed more of veggies and couscous he was happy to bring it. We’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to share this find with our friends!

Excellent restaurant in the heart of the city. The decor (and the cuisine!) invites you to travel, the dishes are generous and very good! I was able to manage the amount of Harissa in the couscous and appreciate the quality of home-cooked food. For all palates and for all occasions. Well done to the cook, and thank you for the service and welcome!

Full 5, although I wouldn't hesitate to give it 10 out of 5. 🤩 After arriving on foot and being hesitant because of the neighborhood and the entrance to the restaurant itself, we were pleasantly surprised when we entered it. Settling in was like crossing a space/time door to the Maghreb. 😳 The warm welcome and fast service already announced the good evening we would have. Every bite of the food was a surprise to the palate. A journey through spices regulated by the taste of the main element of the dish. 🤩😍😋 Recommended the Kir with cinnamon and the kasbah tagine.

Spotted this restaurant when leaving a different one the night before. We had not booked, but we got in early before the rush. I would recommend that you do book ahead as it did get very busy. The welcome was very friendly and we used our phone translation to read the menu. The service, food, wine and the staff were excellent. They staff member who was dealing with us even suggested that one adult main course would be enough for our two son's to share as the portion would be big enough. It was a very good experience from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Even the bill was very reasonable. We look forward to returning the next time we visit Toulouse.
