Our stay at Altapura Hotel & Spa was a true delight. We felt welcomed like family in a beautiful, comfortable setting, perfectly located at the foot of the slopes. The restaurants are very pleasant, with good choices and a friendly atmosphere, and the spa is ideal for relaxing after skiing. A huge thank you to the entire team for their kindness and constant attention. We will definitely be back!

A very pleasant stay at the Altapura Hotel. The rooms are comfortable, and the mountain views are magnificent, especially during breakfast or on the hotel terrace in the afternoon on a beautiful sunny day. The lounge/bar area is very cozy at nightfall. The staff is very pleasant, extremely professional, and attentive. Although small, the spa (pools, sauna/hammam) has everything you need to relax after a day of skiing. The kids' club is extremely flexible and convenient (a minor drawback: its location in the hotel's basement, without windows) and the staff are very friendly with children. The only real downside of the stay was the half-board option (apart from the excellent breakfast buffet). The concept of three different restaurants is rather surprising. The quality of the facilities (equipment, decor, spaces) and the food probably doesn't meet the expectations of discerning guests of a five-star hotel. The hotel would probably gain in prestige by offering only one well-arranged restaurant (tables with tablecloths, meals with a quality menu made by a good chef varying daily with limited choices in 4 or 5 courses with a large buffet of starters / salads / dishes for children).

Everything is perfect: the service, the friendliness of the staff. Perhaps the only slight drawback is the quality of the restaurants, which isn't great, and the bar where they should take some cocktail-making lessons.

An absolutely perfect stay. The service was excellent from beginning to end: attentive, warm, and always ready to help with great professionalism. The cleanliness of the establishment is impeccable, both in the rooms and the common areas, which made the stay particularly pleasant. A special mention goes to the restaurant, which offers high-quality cuisine with delicious and well-executed dishes. The culinary experience was truly one of the highlights of our stay. A big thank you to the entire team for this wonderful experience; we will gladly return.

We had a great stay at Altapura. The family room was spacious and comfortable, and the ski-in/ski-out access made everything effortless. The kids club was a great perk, kids enjoyed it. A perfect choice for a family family ski trip.

It's located on a mountain, which is very convenient, but it's a long walk to civilization. The service is incredibly slow; you can literally wait a long time for the waiters and then a long time to order.

Our experience with Altapura in Val Thorens has already been exceptional, and we haven’t even arrived yet. From the very beginning, Anael handled our hotel reservations seamlessly. The entire process was smooth, efficient and incredibly reassuring. Everything was organised perfectly, giving us complete confidence in our stay before we’ve even stepped foot in the hotel. Leeloo, however, truly went above and beyond in every possible way. During one of the busiest times of the season, when ski lessons everywhere were completely sold out, she simply refused to give up. She followed up relentlessly, explored every possible option and did not stop until she secured lessons for us. That level of dedication is rare. It felt personal, thoughtful and genuinely caring. She also organised our restaurant tables and helped coordinate multiple details ahead of our arrival, making what could have been a stressful planning process feel effortless. We’ve already spoken so highly of the hotel to the guests joining us because service like this deserves to be recognised. When the pre-arrival experience is this strong, you just know you’re in exceptional hands. We genuinely cannot wait to arrive. If this is the standard before check in, we can only imagine what’s to come.

We have stayed at this hotel several times with our two daughters and we are always just as satisfied! Each time, everything is perfect: the welcome, the cleanliness, the comfort of the rooms, and the quality of the service. We feel right at home, which is truly wonderful. A huge thank you and special praise to Kamel and Serge, who are absolutely fantastic. Always smiling, professional, attentive, and responsive, they really make all the difference. Their kindness and availability make each stay even more enjoyable. It is largely thanks to them that we return with such pleasure. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back!
