Decoration redone for the Bar part since 2021 (less cocoon and fun). Clientele too international and poorly educated. Rooms identical to 2021 but very good in practical comfort and space. Restaurant service lacking flexibility. Ski Set inside and very professional staff, very flexible and adaptable to the situations of each skier unlike restaurants. Comfortable room but bathroom smelling musty because the hotel chose pretty floor tiles that retain humidity. Ideal location. Impeccable reception service and concierge. The hotel has its own parking lot. Not cheap (Val Thorens!) but very practical.

This is an amazing hotel. Excellent location. Rooms are good but not cleaned properly. You have to ask for things like water, tea bags, dusty. We were a big group of vegans and vegetarians. At first reading the reviews we were disappointed to book the hotel as they were not good for restaurants. We spoke to the managers for both the restuarant and they went out of their way to make us delicious vegan food. We had small kids and they took care of their dietary requirements. Staff are excellent with amazing service. We are planning to go back next year.

Ideal location on the slopes with beautiful views. Sun-drenched terrace. Wide choice of dinner options. Beautiful spa facilities, with options for children's entertainment as well as quiet child-free periods. Friendly and warm staff. Sporadic staff with less experience, which sometimes made communication a bit more difficult. Very good experience. Recommended.

Perfect holiday with the family.

Very nice experience in a neat decor. Attentive service. We were pampered with a smile from reception to departure, including the concierge, the spa, breakfasts and meals as well as departures/arrivals on the slopes. The rooms are spacious, well soundproofed, the bedding is top notch and the spa brand products were appreciated. Only one downside: the hotel restaurants which are very expensive for classic cuisine. Instead, try the resort's restaurants without forgetting to make a reservation because they are packed.

Magnificent hotel on the edge of the slopes. The equipment is top of the range, the rooms, even classic ones, are specious and very comfortable despite the non-adjustable air conditioning (we were too hot). The team service is perfect. The spa is very pleasant and the indoor outdoor swimming pool is perfect after a good day of skiing. Please note that the spa and the swimming pool are not accessible to children after 6 p.m. Disappointment in the restaurants whose decoration is not aligned with the standard of the hotel and prices that are too high for what you eat there.

Great stay at Altapura. The rooms were perfect, we had a lovely view of the slopes. It was a good location, ski-in-ski-out but a little walk from the town for the evening time, however they do offer a shuttle, I enjoyed the walk there and back. Nice ambience in the bar area in the evening time, always a fire burning nicely. Breakfast was nice, we did not eat in any of the restaurants for dinner. Pool and spa were beautiful.

My opinion is mixed on my stay at the Altapura because when the prices are high the expectations are also high. Having a little experience in a 5-star stay, I found some positive things and others frankly to be reviewed quickly: location rather good, the facilities are correct without wow effect either (olfactory identity of the hotel, decoration). A lot of disparity on the service side, that's the problem... some people are gems and others border on lack of respect. The 2 restaurants are OK but a little expensive, the young valet is exceptional. Decent breakfast. We are more in a 4 star than 5 star despite a high price. Adding 4% tips to the final invoice, indicating that it is optional, is simply unacceptable for this standard. If I have to thank an extra service I do it to the person in question!

Nice hotel but it’s very hard to question the logic of a 5-star hotel with fabric shower curtains. We arrived to a very smelly room thanks to a damp shower curtain which I had to manually remove to remedy the bad odour. I cannot fathom the logic of using a shower curtain that will get wet and smell. Another bizarre issue is the location of solid metal light fittings placed immediately above the breakfast tables. As a result of these low hanging bulbs, my wife and I both got smacked in the face on numerous occasions as these fittings are located at face height above the breakfast seating area. These are heavy items, and we were both hurt on several occasions as you forget their location whilst dining until raising from the breakfast area. The swimming pool is also not child friendly. We arrived at 5pm with our 3 hound children (aged 1, 3 & 5) as we previously noticed a signpost saying that it was adults only from 6pm-8pm which was fair enough. After a few minutes in the pool, the receptionist walked over to advise the pool was a “quiet area”. We immediately felt unwelcome and decided to leave. I would like to understand why the hotel feels it’s necessary to ask young children to be quiet in a swimming pool and if this is a realistic expectation? The hotel is in a great location and finished to a very high standard, a few simple changes would make the hotel so much more comforatable for it's guests.
