Every visit to La Madeleine is a truly exceptional experience. And once again, last night, we had an absolutely perfect evening. We are never disappointed; quite the opposite: each meal is a new discovery, a true culinary journey where the flavors, textures, and creativity of the chef are expressed with remarkable precision. The setting is absolutely magnificent, elegant without being intimidating, and one immediately feels at ease. The atmosphere is warm, the service is impeccable, and the entire team takes care of its guests with genuine attention. The ingredients are of exceptional quality, perfectly showcased by culinary work that is as precise as it is refined. As for the wine selection, it is always perfectly chosen and complements this experience wonderfully. What also makes this restaurant unique is the chef's presence in the dining room. Seeing him take the time to chat with each of his guests is a rare and particularly appreciated touch. These moments of sharing add a human dimension that makes the experience even more memorable. A special mention goes to Gabriel and Thomas, without whom, it must be said, the experience wouldn't have been quite the same. Their professionalism is remarkable, but what truly sets them apart is their ability to perfectly blend the seriousness and exacting standards of a Michelin-starred restaurant with genuine relaxation and conviviality. You feel incredibly welcome, perfectly taken care of, and completely at ease, without ever losing the prestige and elegance of the establishment. It's a balance that isn't so easy to achieve, and one they master wonderfully. La Madeleine is much more than a Michelin-starred restaurant: it's a gastronomic experience, but also a human one, that we always have the pleasure of returning to. A truly wonderful evening at La Madeleine. The service was delightful, and the chef's expert guidance on creating the menu was a real bonus! His descriptions of each dish encouraged us to carefully choose our path through the meal. A huge thank you to Patrick Gauthier for his generosity and willingness to share, culminating in a kind of culinary apotheosis that sometimes elevates the experience beyond Michelin stars. A wonderful experience. An approachable and passionate chef, and a very cohesive and professional staff. The €99 menu was more than perfect and very tasty. Fresh produce and a very original presentation. We highly recommend La Madeleine, no frills.

A true culinary adventure with exceptional service!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The only slight drawback was the service, which was too fast; the dishes were served one after another without a break…

A lunch in November 2025 at Patrick Gauthier's restaurant, bursting with color on the plates and featuring a modern take on seasonal cuisine, in a rather unique setting right in the heart of the Yonne riverbed. Once again, an excellent lunch, bravo to the chef! Patrick Gauthier is also very friendly.

A very beautiful place, both simple and high-end.

A very nice restaurant with quality cuisine and efficient service. The only downside was the baba au rhum, which was far too soggy and tasteless.
