My favorite restaurant in Aix. The food is delicious, the presentation is refined, and above all, the service is top-notch—a rare and precious find. We always receive a very warm welcome at La Mado. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion: brunch, lunch with friends, or a romantic dinner—you're sure to have a wonderful time!

A great find for enjoying a drink with tapas. Special mention goes to the cod fritters, simply excellent. Very pleasant welcome and a particularly lovely setting on the terrace.

I used to frequent this establishment when I lived in Aix and I felt it needed a refresh. Especially since, while the food itself is perfectly acceptable, the prices need to be adjusted to be truly justified (the turbot fillet with hollandaise sauce, spinach, and shallots at €44 was simply not worth it). There are much nicer places to eat. A shame.

A slight dip in quality for this restaurant where we've eaten several times.
The menu is still as enticing and tempting as ever.
Some dishes were hot, while others were cold. A sign of reheating?
The portions were just adequate. There were a few undercooked potatoes in the coq au vin sauce.
The dessert menu is still very appealing, but the desserts are expensive.
Why wasn't there some fruit as a garnish on the chocolate éclair, as was the case at other tables?
The service was as friendly and elegant as ever, but our waitress didn't know the ingredients of the desserts.

Nice little restaurant located on a large square in Aix-en-Provence. The welcome is friendly and the servers are efficient. The food is good; the herring and skate wing are generous portions. A fresh coat of paint on the first floor would be nice.
The restaurant is a bit noisy, but overall, you'll have a good time. Prices are a little above average, but by booking through TheFork you can save a lot of money.

Taking into account the 50% discount for booking through The Fork, I enjoyed my outing.
There's a nice selection on the menu, reminiscent of Parisian bistros: herring salad, snails, beef stew, skate wing, onion soup.
The only downside was the dining room; it was stiflingly hot and noisy, making conversation impossible. Admittedly, it was Saturday night and we were seated on the mezzanine.
On the plus side, they took extra care in cleaning the restrooms during service. That's rare and much appreciated.

A wonderful discovery!
We had dinner at this restaurant, taking advantage of a 50% discount through TheFork, and everything was perfect!
Homemade cuisine.
From the appetizers to the desserts, the cocktails and the wine, and especially the very warm welcome from the staff who were truly lovely from beginning to end.
We recommend the foie gras, the scallops, and the lamb shank, and to finish, the incredible tarte tatin.

Very nice restaurant
Excellent welcome and service
Beautiful location
The meal was good and tasty
My only complaint: the portion was too small. Even though I don't eat white bread, I had to eat two pieces to enjoy my coq au vin and its sauce. The sauce was served in a tiny pot containing five minuscule potatoes that I suspect came from a can.
Even though the meat was very well cooked, this €32 dish left a bad taste in my mouth. A shame.
A lovely evening nonetheless, spent in good company and in a cozy atmosphere, just the way I like it!
