We wanted a spot of lunch and decided to eat here because the restaurant a welcoming look & the cooking area was open to the public which is always a good sign. We arrived just before 12 which was just as well because by 12.15 they were turning people away and a queue of more persistent folk had formed.
We opted for burgers because they looked so good! We were not disappointed. Burgers in France are chopped steak cooked to your choice, well done, medium, rare etc.. ours were spot on cooked ‘à pointé’ or medium as we say in the UK. Really tasty with fresh lettuce, tomato, cornichon, burger sauce and a great (not brioche) bun & accompanied by frites & salad garnish. Just what we needed and at only 15€ pp.
(@Victors in Oxford please note!) All washed down with a really nice demi-carafe of local rose wine. We would definitely return.
